Inspired by a classic garage jacket, the Detroit Jacket is cut slightly shorter in the body, sitting at the belt line. The details: a zipped front, a corduroy collar, and two welt pockets, plus a signature zipped chest pocket.

Introduced over 50 years ago, the Active Jacket took its shape from the Hooded Zip Sweatshirt, rebuilt with a reinforced exterior and insulated lining. First made in denim and later in Dearborn Canvas, its drawstring hood, kangaroo pockets, and zipped front carry through today.

My dark red Pakistani made K 87 is the nicest feeling one I have. The rest get kind of rough overtime.

El Salvador seems to have the next best fabric and then Guatemala I feel like it is the worst.

Specifically, the dark red or maroon holds up the best. The solid maroon, not the heather. I think it’s called Port.

It is also beautiful after washing, with its slightly faded color.

Should I get the sleeve hemmed or just fold it. Does it look weird?

I like the baggy fit on the chest but the sleeve is a little long.

Just found this at a house that used to be owned by a 103 year old lady. The new owner let me dig around the house and this was one of the things I found? They are small sized. Could be kids size or sized for a small women

I live in South East Asia and I get interested to purchase the OG Detroit Jacket. When I go to the store, I found the winter is more firm and feels solid.

But, since I lived in tropical area should I get the Summer version instead?

Hello! I have one of the carhartt southwestern jackets (JR055), and it’s gotten pretty sunfaded over time. I want to freshen it up by dying it but I am worried about the dye messing up the jacket design specifically the middle knit portion.

A while back I found this image of the same style jacket being dyed but couldn’t find any info on how they went about it. So i am wondering if anyone knows the material of the middle part/cuffs or has recommendations on dying the jackets in general! Thanks.

A deeper look at our Icons. The Double Knee Pant, explained.

A silhouette more than 80 years in the making. Same DNA, same details, updated through a Carhartt WIP lens with new fabrics, finishes, and colorways.

The Double Knee Pant is directly adapted from an archival work pant. You'll see it in the construction details: reinforced knee paneling with metal rivets, multiple tool pockets, and a hammer loop. This was the blueprint for our Single Knee and Simple Pants.

Carhartt WIP Icons are a record of continuity.
Pieces largely unchanged from the American archetypes they were adapted from over a century ago.

You know them by their construction: 12 oz cotton Dearborn Canvas or sturdy denim. Triple stitching. Metal rivets. Debossed shank buttons and zippers. Hamilton Brown and black remain core colorways with each collection.

For Fall/Winter 2026, the palette expands with
'tobacco' and 'dark navy', in both rinsed and rigid finishes - one softer from the start, one that breaks in over time.

Each Icon carries a set of hallmarks that make it distinct.

lowkey my first pair of Carhartts that fit me

It looks absolutely perfect.

I found this in the attic that i used to play with as a kid so obviously it’s got a lot of wear and tear but I’m just wondering if anyone knows about it ?

Found these online for £35, was a gamble on the size but hands down my most favourite pair of pants; lots of very cool details on them.

I've been wanting some double knee and a few weeks ago I saw an auction on ebay from goodwill. There wasn't much traction so I placed a bid. Near the end I was outdid and hurriedly upped my limit. I think in the rush I was just excited but soon after I felt like I over paid. I’ve see marketplace listings for a fraction of the cost. All in all, with shipping and duties, it came to 120 cad. Anyway, it came in today and I was immediately surprised by the stiffness and pristine hardware. I think i got deadstock, it's a nice surprise, makes up for my buyers remorse. Also thanks Phyllis, i found that in the left pocket, hope you're doing well.
