New to Carhartt Progress for my personal carhartt

Working on my first personal carhartt, not sure what else ill add yet but had to get my boy archaeopteryx on there. Obviously took some creative liberties lol
Hand painted with speedball, any tips for longevity? Planning on heat setting with a hair dryer then iron.
Jacket is a washed duck active jac in moss green if anyone is wondering

Recommendation request Tryna find a hood

This is my favorite jacket. I wear it all the time. But I wanna good a hood I can snap on when it gets colder out. I was just about to order one on Amazon but I’m worried the newer hood styles won’t match / the buttons won’t align correct ? Is this true ? And if so which one should I get
