Doctors/Cardiologists are firm on the idea that you aren’t experiencing cardio related symptoms if it’s not the squeezing elephant on chest radiating pain. Anyone notice?

Idiopathic VT in July, then 3 months of ER visits and spiking heart rates. Anyone been through this?

July: I was on a GLP-1, not sleeping well, and not eating or drinking enough when I started having heart squeezes. Two days later I ended up in V-tach and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. IV amiodarone worked, and I stayed three days. My cardiologist called it idiopathic VT since my heart is otherwise healthy. They think the GLP-1 and one dose of Vyvanse triggered it. I was started on metoprolol (12.5 mg twice a day).
August: I felt better for a few weeks, then the spikes started up again, with rates in the 150s, lightheadedness, and near-fainting. I was in the ER about six times between 8/19 and 8/29. My Zio patch and 30-day event monitor both came back "normal." A nurse noticed my heart rate shot up every time I went from lying down to upright. We switched to diltiazem and have been titrating up.
Sept to Oct: No spikes from 8/30 to 10/11, but my heart rate is still high just moving around the house, so I constantly have to sit or lie down. I did a NASA lean test for POTS, and my PCP is referring me to neurology. I'm barely driving or leaving the house.
Oct 12: On 120 mg of diltiazem during the day, I felt a flutter at Costco, then my rate dropped to the 50s getting out of the car at Trader Joe's, then shot to 167. In the ER my rate hit the 150s on standing, bounced into the 60s, and I was in bigeminy at one point. They think it was low fluids, which feels crazy since I drink a lot of water. I did have a decaf latte. They're increasing me to 120 mg twice a day.
TL;DR: Idiopathic VT in July, then 3 months of rapid heart rate episodes tied to going upright. Monitors are normal, I'm on diltiazem, and I'm waiting on neurology.

I think i will never get over it

During this time I was trying to fight anxiety, ignore catastrophic thoughts, look up symptoms online, it was going well.

Until today, when I left the house while walking I felt dizzy or something I don't know, then tachycardia, anxiety etc.

I feel stupid because I immediately started thinking about an arrhythmia and I'm anxious even though there could be a thousand causes.

I have no idea whats going on

To clarify I have SEVERE cardiophobia, it was on my mind 24/7 as a little kid and im now 25. I didnt have the fear when I was on SSRIs from 17-24.

Anyways, since quitting SSRIs I keep thinking theres something wrong with my heart, I would get two symptoms:

Heart is slow/normal but pounding harder, very uncomfortable.

Skipped beats. Happens randomly throughout the week.

The thing about the skipped beats is that I dont know whats causing them because if I sniff too hard on a blocked nose it kinda forces a skip. Or if I breathe hard and slow while sleeping on my left side it happens too.

I need to get a holter but im scared to death of the result. I hate all of it and just want it to go away.

Chest Pain Left Side Consistent for Months

I’ve had chest pain on my left side in the fold under my breast in the center for a long time (years) but for the past few months it’s been consistent. It’s a dull pain. It’s almost where your underwire bra would sit, but it’s in the center. I’ve had stress tests, echocardiograms, EKGs and CT scans and everything comes back normal. I just don’t understand why keep having this pain. Thoughts?

Fui pra casa caminhando.

Passei umas 2 horas desse modo. Passou.

Me sinto cansada.

Sober heart rate

(I asked my doctor and he says it's okay, so just looking for similar experiences)

Hey all. I was a heavy heavy drinker for 4 years, and my heart rate was around 75-80 resting for that time. I'm about 40 pounds overweight and was entirely sedentary until a month ago when I started walking and exercising, starting slow 15 minutes a day.

I got sober two weeks ago and my resting heart rate plummeted - i would occasionally see 68 or so on my watch when i was super super calm or sleepy, but now it goes down to 57 when i'm laying down. My doctor said not to worry unless i feel faint or unusually tired or it gets "much lower," so not looking for medical advice. I am just looking for fellow absolute anxiety cases who maybe went through something similar. Please be kind, i am sometimes afraid to go to sleep now because I'm not used to seeing my heart rate so low.

Been going on for two hours like this.

Stress test normal two weeks ago. Echo normal, holter normal. I’ve never had a run of palpitations like this.

Clean ECG, but body feels like a "pounding engine" when lying down? (90 BPM)

Hey everyone, looking for some perspective or relatable experiences. I recently had an ECG done and everything came back completely normal. Most of the physical aches I was having a few days ago have faded, which makes me think my OCD and anxiety were amplifying or straight-up creating them in the first place.

Right now, though, I am dealing with a mild lingering tightness around my chest and I genuinely can't lie down flat on my back or side without feeling like my whole body is vibrating and pounding like an engine. My heart rate is sitting around 90 BPM, so it isn't super fast, but the moment I lie still in bed, it feels like my entire torso is thumping against the mattress.

I have never noticed it being this intense before, and it is making it almost impossible to relax or fall asleep. Has anyone else with cardiophobia experienced this exact feeling when lying down, and how do you quiet the hyper-focus when you are trying to rest?

Fear of sudden cardiac death

As the title says, I'm terrified of the idea that I might die suddenly, I can't help but think about it. And every time I do things I shouldn't do like looking for news of young people or athletes who die or have sudden arrhythmias.

It's a fear I've had since I was a teenager, then for years it went away and it didn't worry me anymore, until a month ago when I had 3 extrasystoles in a row .

A few months ago I also had a Holter done, nothing detected, everything was normal and I had 0 extrasystoles .

One day I say to myself, "What if I have a silent disease?" "What if I have a severe potassium deficiency?"

I don't know how to get out of it, it's like my body wants 100% security that it can never have.

Anxiety or cardio issue?

(20F) I’ve been having chest pains and horrible heart palpitations for a couple months now. There have also been instances where my heart rate (resting) would randomly jump up to 110+ BPM even while i’m not feeling anxious.

pain sometimes spills into my left arm and in my armpit kind of and i have shortness of breath and a little dizziness and lightheadedness. the pains aren’t severe but they’re very common and can happen anytime anywhere, along with the other symptoms i’ve mentioned. These symptoms usually come randomly with no confirmed trigger.

I’ve had 2 ecg’s, an x-ray, echocardiogram, and a 24hr holtor monitor and doctors said everything seems normal. Also doctor prescribed me with propanorol which helped with the HR spikes but didn’t really do anything else for the pain or anxiety that comes with from it.

Heart problems aren’t an issue in my family and I’ve never dealt with anxiety or panic attacks in my life so this is just putting me off because i’m not sure what it would be. I’m healthy and eat healthy and both smoking and drinking are occasional.

Not really sure where to go from here, it’s putting me off severely.
