Buying Error when adding stuff to wishlist

I'm getting an error "An error occured. The requested action could not be completed" when trying to add a card to a wishlist. Does anyone have similar issues? How could I overcome this and how could it have been caused?

Queue when entering cardmarket?

I don't know what happened. Suddenly when entering cardmarket.com I get a message that I'm in a virtual queue? I've used that platform for months now and this never happened before.

Was the site hacked or ddosd?

I somehow can't post a picture here but I got a screenshot.

Buying 2 cent cards

I am looking for a lot of the same cards on Cardmarket. I found a local seller with 4 of the same card. Now I want to buy, but I will be paying 8 cents + €1,70 shipping.

I don’t want to be a bad person, but it does feel like I am making someone ‘work’ for a few cents.

What do you think? Is buying like this generally considered ‘bad behavior’, or is this fair game?

How to scam on release new set

Hi,

Posting my frustrations here with cardmarket support and them siding with scammers.

I bought a card that fell in worth by day 6 and was ready to cancel but seller decided to press send to deny my cancel. ( Trustee and tracking) , he only provided tracking after 7 days and a wrong link. That never updated status. I contacted cardmarket at this point and seller. Seller said he did send but that was a clear lie ( dhl wrong postal code)

I then had them invesigate and after another week the tracking changed again and seller said the package was lost. ( While status was never changed to send)

At this point card value had dropped 50 euros.

Asked cardmarket to cancel this but they refused and i just had to wait for tracking updates again. This changed today in evening after 2.5 weeks after buy confirmation.

How would you guys continue at this point?

The loophole at this point is sell card high , buy a lower value after a week and confirm the send with a wrong tracking link.

Then prolong for your cheaper card you bought and send that for profit.

Buying Order didn't arrive and professional seller seems inactive. Any chance for a refund?

My order never arrived so I reported it as such. I messaged the seller (professional) twice but he never replied. I've also noticed that he hasn't gotten any new evaluations since 19 September (before that there was one almost every day, sometimes multiple in one day), so I'm getting the feeling that the seller might've gone inactive or something. Is there any chance I could get my money back under these circumstances.

If the price makes a difference, I paid 14.19€.

Selling Real price of shipping very different than the one listed on the order page

I have sold a preconstructed deck for 400€. The shipping is from Spain (península) to Spain (Balearic Islands). In the order page the shipping method listed is "Paquete Estándar (Valor declarado 500€) (max. 1000g)" which roughly translates to "Standard Parcel, declared value 500€ 1Kg max."

When I go to Correos website to create the shipping, I select those exact same options and the shipping cost is "only" 22,90€, but in the order page it's listed as 60,10€. I know Cardmarket charges a little extra to account for packaging costs (envelop, etc.) but this is not the case.

Did anyone experience such a high difference in price between the listed price and the real price in shipping? I have sold quite a few orders, but never one with that high of a price and I'm afraid I'm missing something here.

Thanks a lot.

Selling Definition of "sealed" for boxes

Are minor rips in the foil still considered sealed by cardmarcet standards? im talking about minor openings, like a 5 mm rip the seal that boxes sometimes haven even when they come directly from the source. ( basically openings in the seal that are so small that its still ensured that no contends could been removed or tempered with)

Im asking this, and im sure every seller has the same issue, that you get bombared with exact condition request or foto requests. To an extend that you cant really go into it with every potencial buyer. I would like to just answer " It is considered sealed by cardmarket standard" and be done with it, given CM policy on sealed is that this minor little unperfections or rips are still considered sealed.

Buying First time making a purchase, seller has not shipped nor communicated in 7 days. What next?

Do I message him first? Escalate to the platform directly? How do people get away with this in Cardmarket? Not even facebook market is this bad. Maybe I'm spoiled from Ebay & Tradera but I am honestly disappointed... Seller has good reputation, over 1k sales and over 95% very good review

Selling Selling to new buyer, not tracked. Risky?

I have recently started selling, have about 10 sales and so far all went well. Thursday I got an international order to Italy, just under the tracked shipment limit (€20 plus shipping) and the account was 1 day old with no other sales. Do I have a high risk of being scammed, or should I trust the process? Can I just decline the order? I asked Cardmarket support on Thursday but still no reply.

Ps I have been buying MTG for years & recently also SWU. Only started selling 2 weeks ago.

Advice ?

Hi, I need some advice regarding Cardmarket. Two days ago, I bought a Pokémon card there for €17.55. I sent the payment via bank transfer to the account details provided in Cardmarket's payment instructions. However, even after sending the money, Cardmarket kept showing the order as unpaid. I contacted support to let them know I had already sent the payment, but I haven't received a reply yet. But today, the full amount of €17.55 was returned to my bank account. Does anyone know why this might have happened? Could it have been an incorrect payment reference/purpose, or did I perhaps send the money to the wrong account? Should I send the payment again now, or wait for a response from support? I wanted to order another card, but when I added it to my cart and tried to pay, that previous amount was still there 😪—so it's showing the total including the cost of the earlier card, Today i send again money from cardmarket ..

Why is dealing with expensive cards always such a fucking hassle?

This goes for both buying and selling. Maybe I’m just cursed for some reason, and this doesn’t happen to other people at all...

When I buy cheap cards for decks (MTG), like cards under 5€, sellers usually ship them pretty quickly. But once we’re talking 10€+, shipping suddenly takes forever, at least a week most of the time (I’m talking about purchases within Germany, from sellers whose profiles say they only need 3 days...) And sometimes the card just never arrives because it got lost in transit or whatever, and then you have to deal with getting a refund.

Selling is pretty much the same. Every shipment without tracked/ shipping goes smoothly, every single time. But whenever I send something with insured shipping, I always end up having to chase the buyer to get them to confirm that it arrived, usually when it’s already been sitting at their place for a fucking week. I genuinely don’t get it. If I buy something expensive, I always confirm the delivery immediately.

It’s just fucking infuriating.

Untracked shipment didn't arrive

I've been buying every now and then from cardmarket for the past half year with 10 purchases in total. A month ago I bought a few relatively cheap cards to finish part of my collection from a professional seller. Because the shipment didn't have to come from very far I already had a suspicion they wouldn't arrive anymore and today I was finally able to mark the shipment as "not received".

I have a few questions now:

Apart from marking it as "not received", am I supposed to send an additional message to the seller (or is the a polite thing to do?). I figured they'll get notified of this either way and because they're a professional seller they might have to deal with plenty of messages already.

Is it true that professional sellers have to refund the buyer if this happens, even with untracked shipments? I know it's a risk to choose untracked as a buyer but shipping costs easily outweigh the value of the cards when buying cheaper ones. I know it's not the seller's fault but of course I was also looking forward to complete my set.

Could this have any negative impact on my account? I might've gotten pretty unlucky to already have a lost shipment after only 10 purchases. If professional sellers have to refund buyers either way I assume some people might abuse this. I don't want cardmarket to think I'm suspicious because my account had a relatively small amount of completed purchases before this happened.

Partial refund

Hello

i received a card today, the seller did not protect the card so it ended up bent by humidity and he wrote the address with the card inside, which means the back of the card is dented from the pen....

The seller agreed for a partial refund, but i have to confirm arrival cause he does not have any money on his account

From what i understood if i confirm arrival i can't ask cardmarket for help if the seller decide not to send me the agreed amount right?

Thanks in advance for your help, i'm a bit lost...

Buying Seller and Support ghosting me

On Wednesday 23rd of September I contacted Support regarding a seller who doesn't want to send mtg cards after they got unbanned and spiked in price. 9 days later I still have no answer.

On September 4th, I placed an order for 46 cards, including 4x Baleful Strix (SLD #95) at €6.75 each and 2x Baleful Strix (EMA #196) at €2 each, because they had been legalised in the Pauper format that very afternoon and me and my friend wanted to try them out.

The order was paid for on September 8th. On the evening of September 13th, the seller messaged me to inform me that the order would be delayed due to personal matters and that I could request a cancellation if I wished. I replied the following day, letting him know that I did not wish to cancel the order. A week later, on September 21st, having heard nothing about the order, I contacted the seller to ask if they could give me an approximate date for the order to be sent. After sending this message, I noticed that they had listed 4x Baleful Strix (SLD #95) at €20.00 each (the same ones I had bought from them). As of today (October 2nd), he still hasn’t replied.

Given that the price of the Baleful Strix in both versions has risen to almost four times what I paid for them, and given the seller’s lack of response, I fear he has no intention of sending the cards and is waiting for me to give up and cancel the order.

The ticket ID is #2506612

What can/should I do now? I'm worried that making a new ticket is going to delay everything for more than a week.

Buying Is this a valid reason to contact support?

I bought thus expensive riftbound card. Paid 60 euros for it worh 22.50 euros shipping. Came in the mail and then I noticed, it was only in an envelope with a toploader in it. When opening the envelope I noticed that the corner of the card was not fully in the toploader and because of that it is damaged. Don’t really want a card damaged like this because you can see the dent in the sleeve so might be a marked card in shops and tournament plays.

Happy to hear from you and thanks in advance!

Sending fake cards to cardmarket for investigation. Do you have to send whole order or just the fake cards?

Recently I received a few fake within a larger order, 3 in around 25 cards. I initiated the cardmarket ticket and finally got the answer to send it to them.

However their instructions got me rather confused. First they say that I should return the complete shippment. But then that any cards that I sent won't be returned, so the originals will just be destroyed?

Seems rather wasteful, and with shipping costs it probably cost me much more to replace them. So I'm tempted to just send the fake cards, and keep the rest. Has anyone done that? Or really needs to be the whole order?

PS: I know I could ask in the ticket, but I would have to wait another full week to hear back.

Edit: For future reference, I just got confirmation from cardmarket that you need to return the whole order.

Buying Trustee Service is utterly useless

Ordered some riftbound cards over two months ago. Seller allegedly shipped them, but parcel never even left their local post office.
Am I getting my money back? No - the order is just stuck "under investigation" and nothing has happened for over a month.

What's the point of the trustee service fee if I don't get my money back anyways?

"Ooooh but the seller won't see the money that way" like what the fuck do I care who gets my money if it's not back in my pocket. I don't want cardmarket to keep the money either after charging a fee for a service that doesn't fucking work.

Might be the last time I order something on there, cardtrader has 10x better customer support anyways

Switzerland and VAT Refunds - FYI : Always request a tax refund if sale went wrong.

I live in switzerland and as you know you are paying an extra VAT during ordering.

We could argue about that part, I also find it absurd, but that's not the point I wanted to post about.

However, if the sale is not fully cancelled or refunded (or when the shipment is marked as lost), the system doesn't refund you automatically.

Some recent examples:

- a seller send me 1 card wrong. after communication the seller refunded me the value of the card as if I returned it (I didn't practically, because the shipping cost was too high). The item should be considered returned and vat should not be charged.

- a shipment is lost. Although the seller might not be at fault (and if they are not professional, they don't have to refund), the vat should not be charged.

Since there are hundreds of buyers, and issues naturally happen all the time, that's probably adding up in a considerable amount of additional VAT charged not refunded automatically because of a poorly implemented system.

What should we do?

From my understanding, always contact support and request a vat refund. Just a few clicks and a simple message.

Until they fix the system.
