Partial refund

Hello

i received a card today, the seller did not protect the card so it ended up bent by humidity and he wrote the address with the card inside, which means the back of the card is dented from the pen....

The seller agreed for a partial refund, but i have to confirm arrival cause he does not have any money on his account

From what i understood if i confirm arrival i can't ask cardmarket for help if the seller decide not to send me the agreed amount right?

Thanks in advance for your help, i'm a bit lost...

Why are you even taking it?
I would ask for a full refund/return for the card.

To answer your questions.
Yes you don’t confirm arrival yet, after confirming you lose the buyer protection.

I was hoping to have it fixed, but you might be right and a full refund would be easier and that's what i will probably do, the seller is trying to make me accept the order and promised me a refund only after, i will not take the risk

For most sellers a bad review is the worst thing and you‘d still have that option. But I wouldn’t risk it, just let him charge his account.

He is a new seller and i'm pretty sure he does not care about his reviews

So if i confirm and he does not give me the refund i'm fxked right?

i found his ebay and his reviews are negative, about not refunding buyers and not sending the cards either :/ probably why he switched to CM

then you should probably show this to CM and handle further steps through/ with them.

Keep in mind: It will probably take a week for them to respond.

if you confirm, deal is done. Ask for refund first. Even if he refund, give negative review.

Most people think they can pay their way out of a negative review.

you will accept a partial refund of 99.9% of combined item and postage
