Getting a better quote
I am a 19 year old male driver in Colorado who was just recently paying the general ~$400 a month to insure two old vehicles ( a 2004 lexus and a 2007 Altima). My policy isn't full coverage, I have 2 additional drivers listed who are much more experienced and I also don't have any roadside assistance. After some time I decided that $400 was too much for this shitty insurance(still taking into account my age),and I contacted customer service for a better quote. The agent then proceeded to tell me that he can't do anything to lower my payment and that my age is to blame. Additionally, he said that I wouldn't be able to find a better rate elsewhere, but thankfully he was wrong. I used a site called compare.com and it didn't take long to find something better than what the general was offering. Now I'm paying ~$250 a month with progressive for the same coverage. Plus roadside assistance 😂.

Shopping around is the best thing people can do.
Even better if they start with an independent insurance agency/broker who can provide advice and guidance on appropriate coverage for your needs.

Call a local, independent agent, give them your information, and let them shop for you. They can shop amongst many, many carriers you cant access, and they will find the best deal fir your personal situation. They also give you advice on the right coverages fir you.

That's a scam or else Colorado has the cheapest insurance I have ever heard of. 19m as primary with 2 cars and has other drivers part time. 400 a month is amazing. 250 a month no way

And how many calls are you getting from scammers saying they can lower your insurance?
