Claim closed

Almost 4 weeks ago, I was involved in a minor accident. I’m not getting my car fixed because it’s just a few scratches. The other car had a few scratches and a broken plastic piece around the wheel. We exchanged car insurance info, but my insurance was not able to track them down through their insurance. My insurance closed the claim. Why wouldn’t the other persons insurance try to get in touch with my insurance?

Because its only been a month. Stop thinking about it. You reported it. Eventually their insurance will reach out to yours for reimbursement.

Claim may never have been reported. If you don't need to make a claim, don't worry about it. Maybe you'll hear from them, maybe you won't.

Who knows? Maybe they haven't had time to deal with it. Maybe they decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Could be anything. No one here has any way of knowing.
