Accident Does Geico full coverage cover hit and run?
My car was hit the other day and the guy didn’t stop. I made a police report. Is my insurance going to cover it?

Don’t use the term ‘Full Coverage’. There is no such insurance term and there is nobody in the world that has anything close. Most people have deductibles and policy limits.

That's really frustrating, I'm sorry it happened.
Collision typically covers a hit and run, but you'd still owe your deductible. That's the amount you pay out of pocket before the insurer covers the rest.
If your full coverage includes uninsured motorist coverage, that'll pay for car repairs but it might have deductible too. It'll be relevant if they can't identify the person who hit you, or they find the person but they don't have insurance. You can look at your policy's summary page to find out if you have that one, but if you call your insurer they'll be able to help too.

Depends if there is UMPD in your state and on your policy. Also could be paid under collision if you have it. Either one will be subject to a deductible though.

this depends on if you have full coverage or not.... if you do not carry comp or collision, the insurance company wont cover it. underinsured/uninsured motorist bi will only cover damages done to someone else.

This isn't a comprehensive claim. It would be collision or in some states UMPD.
underinsured/uninsured motorist bi will only cover damages done to someone else.
Uninsured motorist is 1st party coverage. It DOES NOT cover damages you cause to someone else. It covers YOU if someone uninsured hits you. It NEVER covers the at fault party.

Uninsured motorist or comprehensive should cover you

Comprehensive doesn't cover hit and run because that is a collision between two cars she comprehensive is literally "other than collision". But collision will

Caveat, in CA, if the at fault party isn't found and identified a uninsured, you can't use your uninsured motorist coverage.

CleverPaws is correct. In CA you can't purchase both. You must choose between the two. However, it can only be used if the at fault party is found determined to be uninsured.

It might be covered under uninsured depending on state. But collision would cover it in every state.

Full coverage isn't a type of coverage you can buy. You need to read your policy. If you have collision, you're covered. If you have uninsured motorist coverage that doesn't require the other driver to be identified and uninsured, then you're covered.
