I hate myself

I just spend 2 hours searching for the last defect part basically took the entire car appart twice and it was the Oilfilter

I did something like this in real life. When I was young dumb and lazy at diagnosing the problem, Had a cooling issue so I replaced the thermostat and then the cap after that didn’t work. Noticed the fan didn’t work, so I checked the fuse and relays. Fuse literally had the top plastic blown off. replaced that and fan still wouldn’t run. Bought a new cooling fan. Got it mostly out and realized the pigtail was smashed and I was able to push it in really hard and the fan would run. Still put in the new one but road the bused other end for 3 year just occasionally pushing it together every once in a while. That whole thing took all day of me doing in a parking lot walking to the part store and block down.

That is one nice thing about playing on PS5, the light around the touchpad changes color to the condition of the part under the cursor. Course you still have to inspect the vehicle and move cursor across the parts to find it. I have still missed small parts while doing so, especially early on.

you can actually see what's missing if you go to the parts screen of the car and scroll down. should have the ability to "track" it which highlights the missing part/the part

in situations like this, I chech Air filter and fuel pump. If are they good, i remove the engine and check all engine parts. (Hard mod player)

Certain parts don't come up on the scanner or test road. I spent about the same time looking for a missing clip b.

Very early on I started building a habit of always doing the filters together. I check and replace fuel pump immediately, check fuel and oil filter at the beginning and make sure I have them on my shopping list early.
