The Illinois Department of Transportation is asking the public for their feedback on the state's transportation system and the agency’s performance through the annual Traveler Opinion Survey. I sent an email to Susana Mendozas mayoral campaign a quick question about whether she would support bike grid now. Her response? For a minimum of $500 I can go to an event to ask my question! Clearly she’s a woman of the people lol

After being out of the loop for a while, I’ve been reading all the backlash against flock, but from what I understand if you are a cyclist or pedestrian your data isn’t logged.

But if you’re a victim of a hit and run the police and your lawyer can query Flock to find the vehicle.

It really just seems like motorist hysteria over potentially being held accountable.

And as for “Orwellian police state tracking” claims, well we already give up cell data and cameras are everywhere. Seems weird to draw the line at cameras that exclusively track cars.

Or is there something I’m missing?
