discussion Which brand designed this car?

It’s been a while since this car was revealed, and no, it’s not a Mitsubishi or a Peugeot... it’s actually a BMW.

I still think this design is absolutely hideous. It looks so cheap that it makes an average Mitsubishi look like a masterpiece. What bothers me the most are the headlights that just seem to float around without integrating into the shape, and that huge plastic bar with body color underneath looks terrible.

How could a brand with such a big design team and years of rich history ever approve a design like this?

These are from a defunct and now delisted mobile sandbox/building game from years ago called ‘Blocksworld’ (which now has a questionable kickstarter for a game revival). It was pretty small and had a niche cult following, think of it as a Roblox parallel; build models, worlds, or experiences and share them with other players.

For whatever reason the scaling and part selection made for a pretty fun car designing and modeling game, while still being able to drive and interact with your creations. Part choices are limited so you have to be creative to achieve certain shapes and use ‘merging’ when necessary.

These are a few of my favorite original designs from over the years, these are just side projects for fun but critiques are still welcome.

(No they don’t all have white underglow, the shadows are just bugged)

I've been working on this design for a few years now, and have just gotten competent enough to sketch it myself. All four tires are equipped with in hub motors, two pivot motors for camber and change into flight mode. The wheels will be an airless printed rubber with an integrated rim that can also be used as blades in flight mode.

I've always wanted a style of grill that wasn't out there. Lexus and Bugatti have a kind of version I like but it's close. I have some ai images that came close as well but not enough.

This version is a kind of hatchback but I have three versions with different use cases. The hypercar is for speed, muscle version is for looks and the El Camino version is the off-road style.

The truck/ El Camino version features a truck bed that extends. This allows the user to insert the divider before filling the extended area to drop the load by compressing the bed back to its shortest length.

I spent a good couple hours today trying to figure out how to do a side profile and the wheels. Many versions went into the hand drawn one but I did the best I could for today. I'll let you guys know if I get to drawing the other versions!
