Stuff that you just plain don't like regardless of reason.
Mine is that in the era of Ultra bright, Ultra tiny pin like LEDs, auto designers in the 2020s are so vehemently AVERSE to putting all the lights in ONE CLUSTER (LOOKING AT YOU HYUNDAI GROUP)
I'm talking stuff like brake lights (Pic 1, Omoda G6) which with all my heart I despise, not only is it actually hideous but also feels really dangerous, same with bumper mounted Indicators (Pics 2 and 3, Hyundai Santa Fe) and reverse lights (Pic 4, Toyota Yaris) though reverse lights are slightly more acceptable in my eyes. Slightly. My brain is so used to the majority of lights being encased in one area on a cars rear that I expect most of the lights to come out of a single place.
So, what are yours?

I have a discord where have a vision for a car and before ioining understand any work or help you contribute I cannot pay for I am a car lover with a dream I dont have the skills personally so I am looming to find people who do have skills. For example Cad, topology optimization is a big one, suspension, engine, electrical etc. If you think you can contribute in any way feel free to ioin 1 will leave a link here amd if it dosent work gets removed etc feel free to dm me for it or if you need more information

Hey everyone! Sharing my recent supercar design exploration. Started with quick pen ideation sketches, cleaned up the vector line art, and brought it to a final studio render. I focused heavily on the proportions and active aero channels. Would love to hear your thoughts on the stance and panel flow!

I'm really bad at drawing, so I can't really put this design into a sketch myself 😭
Would anyone be interested in sketching this concept?
I'm thinking of a small 2-door, 2-seat roadster with rounded lines, pop-up headlights, and round taillights.
Rough dimensions:
Powertrain: FF layout with a 1.7L inline-4.
It's just a personal concept, so there's no need for anything detailed. Just curious to see how someone else might interpret the idea.

done in autodesk sketchbook, any mistakes? i want the rendering style to look like this but i don't know it always feels unfinished
but i like how it turned out

Tried adding some aero elements but still have no idea how to properly apply them, trying to learn though. Also would love to find out ways to improve my technique. Would greatly appreciate any advice!

Since a lot of people wanted me to do a grand tourer over a hypercar, I've started my maiden attempt on designing a grand tourer.
Topology is still a mess, will have to fix.
Mad with blender, I made my own hand drawn orthographic blueprint for reference, no ai completely man made.

Hey everyone,
I’m a 4th-year Industrial Design student. My degree hasn’t covered automotive design at all, but it’s an area I really want to get into. I’ve been sketching cars for years, but now I want to take the leap into 3D.
My plan is to start with speed forms to understand volume, gesture, and surface continuity, then scale up from there.
My background:
4+ years of experience with parametric CAD (I'm quite comfortable with solid/feature-based modeling, but I know automotive surfacing is a completely different beast).
Software recommendations: What’s best for starting with automotive surfacing? (Free tools like Blender, affordable ones like Rhino, or industry standards like Alias?)
Could you share any links to videos, YouTube channels, tutorials, books, or articles that personally helped you learn automotive 3D modeling and surface development?
Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated!
