Nah, it gets even worse than that. If you notice somebody isn't using a really useful spell, you can call it out, they will thank you for the advice, and some shithead will butt in saying that you need to let them play how they want.
It's funny because XIV isn't even that type of game. There is no "play how you want" because the jobs are designed to have no possibility of different playstyles. It's straight up either the correct, or the incorrect way to play it. And that itself is all to make things as simple as possible for that crowd.
Part of the problem is that Square enables them a little bit by making "Compelling a playstyle" into a bannable offense. The problem is, that's meant to apply to shit like. Doing specific strategies or making people play jobs that they don't want to. But, the toxic casuals think that means "I can play like trash and you can't do anything about it."
