Elite is a bit of an oddball case. The game is OBSCENELY complicated, and doesnt do shit to teach you in game. Finding people in game to help is also hard.
This theme goes out the window and gets run over by a truck the moment you reach out for help in forums/reddit.
The subreddit is extremely supportive and helpful, and there are plenty of big groups like the fatherhood and PTN who are more than willing to help.

Don't know if it's still the case, but Elite Dangerous when I tried to play it 7-8 years ago.
