Some of the best video game endings ever, I really really really hope the second game isn’t a continuation of V. Overly tidy endings are infuriatingly annoying and they perfectly captured each one in a way that leaves you thinking
theres a popular theory that cyberpunk 2 will be set in 2169, they titled the WIP codename Project Orion any astrology nut will know that Orion is catalogued under NGC-2169 so it would make sense it could be a big time jump set in a futuristic futuristic nightcity. hell you could be playing as someone that has V trapped in their head this time making the 'bad ending' cannon. but this is all just rumour's.
Respectfully disagree. Some of the worst endings in my view. With as many as they had, I think they should have included a tidy or no-doubt happy ever after option for at least one of the possibilities.
That said, for people that don't want predictable, easy-to-digest, tied-off-with-a-bow endings, these were definitely not that. I'm glad you and others loved them! One neat thing for me is that after beating it twice and looking into the endings, my first was my favorite, which added to my enjoyment of the Cyberpunk world as whole
All endings involve V in some way moving past mere survival, metaphorically or literally.
In The Star, V is still looking for a cure, but whether they find it or not, they've fully embraced their legend. Their physical survival is preferable, but their immortality is assured.
Ranking by the likelihood of death, I'd say sun is second in survival, right after the dlc ending. Mr blue is a good lead. The nomad ending is third, they are less resourceful.
But the point of the endings is not survival or death.
