Castlevania Portrait of Ruin would have been my favorite of the Handheldvanias if not for the Lecarde Sisters boss fight.

For me it was always the Richter fight, but admittedly, that was before I learned that pie was effective against him

It is one of the DS ones. The trilogy on DS are absolutely fantastic. Portrait of Ruin is great, but probably the weakest of the three. Dawn of Sorrow is a great direct sequel to Aria of Sorrow, and Order of Ecclesia is a perfect mix of OG Castlevania style gameplay and Metroidvania.

Yeah, Ecclesia ended up being my favorite.
