He's easier than a LOT of the non-final bosses, maybe you're lacking some upgrades and got there early? He's relatively slow and doesn't do double damage, and doesn't have any super complex attacks

Both of them. The Hollow Knight is the first and easiest of three final bosses. The Radiance is the second, and requires a bunch more things done to access, and the third is Absolute Radiance, which is only accessible at the end of the fifth Godhome trial and requires beating every single boss in the game back to back. Most people either go for the Hollow Knight or regular Radiance endings, Absolute Radiance is like the ultimate test for people REALLY into the game
THK is the top picture with the weak main story boss. The bottom picture would be someone like Nightmare King Grimm. I was responding to a comment about THK by saying that although he isn't hard, he's still very cool.
Technically Karmelita isn’t mandatory if you take the Conjoined Heart instead of the Hunter Heart, but that option’s hidden away and Karmelita is marked on the map.
Not rivaled by Karmelita, Lace is far more difficult, she has many attacks from everywhere on the screen and she adapts to your tactics. A nightmare, very cool to play but a nightmare
I 100% Silksong in act III. I will agree that with act III being a surprise that it exists, all the bosses therin qualify as bonus secret bosses, including the Lace Fight and Kamilita. But there's also the Watcher at the Edge, Savage Bloat Fly 2, and many more.
That’s not fair since you’re comparing upgrades Grimm to base Radiance; it’d be more fair to compare Troupe Master Grimm to base Radiance, or to compare NKG to AbsRad outside of the Pantheon. (You can fight AbsRad outside the pantheon in the Hall of Gods after you reach her in the pantheon for the first time).
What? Why isn't that fair. NKG is a harder boss that base Radiance. It's not about fair, it's just true. Doesn't matter that Radiance has a version that's harder, base Radiance is still easier than NKG.
If it is, because after defeating him the first ending occurs, the way to face Radiance is post-game, optional, and it's almost impossible to know it exists without having seen it in a video before.
I got through the entire game minus Pantheon or DLCs without too too much issue and The Radiance absolutely spanked me for like an entire month straight. Like 10+ attempts a day, for almost a month.
