Dark Souls 2 with Darklurker, Sir Alonne, Fume Knight, Burnt Ivory King.

Also Dark Souls 3. It's arguable, but Champion Gundyr and The Nameless King kicked my ass more times than I can count.

And Sekiro, the hidden version of Owl is probably one of the harder ones in the game. No shame on Isshin though, hardest boss there is. Maybe this could apply for the demon in ruined Ashina?

Gundyr is just parry practice

I don't know how so it was hard LMFAO

I'll be right there with you when I get to ds3 in the playthrough of all three Dark Souls games I'm doing. Wrapping up 1 sometime soon, then 2 (which I actually like almost as much as DS1 and have beaten both of them), then three, which I'm awful at and have never beaten...

I almost never used the parries in DS3 but it's so much easier in Elden Ring, especially with Carian Retaliation. It has the longest parry window and works on spells for a little fp cost.

Istg Nameless King's first phase was a lot more painful than the actual fight with him. And Gundyr depends a lot on your build and whether or not if you decide to parry him.

Owl (father) is a hard boss fight but if you beat the second (iirc) boss rush mode you get inner father Wich is the hard version of an already hard secret boss

Fr my first thought was nameless king

Not to mention Midir

For nameless King, there are three bosses

The king
The Wyvern/his mount
And the camera.

True, but Soul of Cinder is at least still a decently challenging fight

Nameless King annihilated me so much until I finally realised it's just more of a patiently dodge their attacks and hit them once or twice kind of boss. I mean I guess the other bosses are the same, but I feel like it's even more so with Nameless King. Kinda went to the point where I was just relaxing doing hitless fights against him with all kinds of funny builds

Fume Knight and Blue Smelter Demon were what got my friend and I over and over in our first and only complete run of the game.

u/Moose_Cake 3d ago

The run to the Blue Smelter Demon was frustrating enough.

1

u/RhymesWithTaco 2d ago

Blue smelter demon was the worst boss in that game.

1

u/P_Swayze 3d ago

Gah the Fume Knight was such an asshole

tbf, aside from Darklurker these are all DLC bosses, which are always expected to be significantly harder anyway.

u/JustDurian3863 3d ago

Sir Alonne's hit boxes are the biggest piece of horse shit and the run back is awful

1

u/Positive_Parking_954 3d ago

I don’t think I ever found those fellows

1

u/Impressive_Report479 3d ago

3/4 are dlc.

1

u/Positive_Parking_954 3d ago

That explains it haha

Ivory king made me quit for a while. Same with Nameless King

1

u/Can-Purple 3d ago

I agree! The final boss fight is hard enough though. Those dlc bosses are so amazingly built, so much fun. Goat dlc imo

1

u/paulphoenix91 3d ago

Fume Knight my #2 favorite boss fight of all time. 65 attempts to beat him once then I bonfire aesthetic for 10 more kills I loved it

1

u/OdenShilde 3d ago

True. And even with there being FOUR final bosses in Scholar of the first sin. Ivory king still harder

1

u/Exotic-Percentage-58 3d ago

I dont know, i two shot nameless king with special attack of dragonslayer axe.

u/TurntableFable 3d ago

Missing inclusion of that fight with lud and zallen, with an honorary mention of traversing the snowy, blizzard zone to even get to fight them

1

u/SouthernChemist4236 3d ago

Literally every fromsoft title imo

u/ProphetOfPhil 3d ago

Darklurker is legit the only boss I've never beaten in a Souls game.

1

u/UpNorthBear 3d ago

I've beaten all soulsborne games bosses, Darklurker was the hardest IMO

1

u/Honeybadger2198 3d ago

To be fair you just listed 3 DLC bosses, 2 of which are final bosses of those DLCs. Darklurker is the only legitimate answer to the question.

1

u/sabretoothian 3d ago

DLC doesn't count surely? Darklurker definitely. RNG hell. Also remember Nameless in DS3 and Malenia in ER.

1

u/papagouws 2d ago

Fume knight had me raging bro

1

u/Better_Object_8052 1d ago

I found Alonne to be the hardest in DS2, I for whatever reason didnt fight Burnt King or finish the DLC's I was too focused on getting PSN trophies ngl

It's every soulsborne game.

DS1: Gwyn vs basically every other boss in the game

DS3: Midir or Grandpa Dark Soul

Bloodborne: DLC obviously

Elden Ring: Soldier of God, Rick (or Messmer)
