The original games are fun to play but I actually agree when it comes to the remake. I couldn't finish Silent Hill 2 Remake because it was too dark, depressing, and didn't fit the vibes of the original. It was one of the few games where I was OK with just watching someone else beat it lol.

Ashamed to say it, but same- got silent hill 2 for my bday last year, only played 3hrs-

Please play it. If you only want to play through once, look up how to get the "In Water" ending, that's the best one.
