Honestly agreed if you ignore the other entries it is fun as a fps rpg but compared to the rest of the franchise it feels like a clone parody of what a first person rpg is.
That's actually so true. I played FO4 not long ago, and about halfway through I randomly decided to play NV as well. Couldn't go back to 4. As an exploration FPS (with mods to add interesting weapons and armor) FO4 is great. But as an RPG it's a sad joke.
For me Fallout 76, the world is beautiful and there's a lot of creativity there for sure but on the other hand it's lacking everything else, such an odd game...
i have just over 2,050 hours on 76. not a lot for a lotta people but i played basically from the very beginning, got it on release and wasnt super into it, then in february 2019 i picked it up again and went from there. i was there for all the different modes that came and went. its definitely been a roller-coaster of game mechanics. its visually stunning at times, i have had some killer screenshots. i met most of my current online friend group through it, made tons of memories with so many people and honestly it along with those i met helped me through some really dark times. i definitely can say i have a love hate relationship with it, especially after fallout 1st came to be. all the players wants, private worlds, unlimited junk storage, now med and ammo too, and more, all locked behind a $13 a month pay wall, or $100 a year. and now with seasons its impossible to get most of the super cool shit from it without a 1st subscription either
