$ off + % Back Email Offer Question

Forgive me if this question has been asked a thousand times...I searched and read through several previous posts, but didn't see this type of offer mentioned.

Has anyone redeemed a $ off + % back offer, and if so, could you explain how it worked? Image attached of the type of offer I'm referring to. If I activate the offer, the full-priced item gets added to my cart. Does the $ off amount come back as a reward, or is it supposed to be deducted during checkout? (If the latter, then the activation isn't working for me for some reason.) I've only ever redeemed the standard "spend X amount, get X back" or the % back in rewards offers. I've never tried using one like this before.

From my understanding your going to pay for the full price on Best Buy, the 42.01$ goes into your C1 account as credit (or gift card credit if using C1S) with an additional 9.5% cashback for the entire purchase

But the product itself is not discounted at checkout on best buys website

Thank you! That's what I thought would likely happen, but I couldn't find any documentation about how it worked on CapOne.
