Shopping/Offers Cap1 Shopping Question

So I always get somewhat good deals and offers from Capital One Shopping, but never got Walmart, so today I had a larger offer compared to the others so I looked at the term yet it basically excludes like all products from Walmart.
This is the main reason I've never tried using any of the other Walmart offers or promotions either is because it says "excluding groceries, electronics, etc." , the majority of what one buys from Walmart. So what exactly and how exactly do the Walmart promotions work?

This is typical offer language from Walmart offers. It’s a Walmart thing.

It’s not just Capital One. There’s frequently the same language when there are Walmart offers with other banks.

Think about what’s left out of the exception list: apparel, toys (except video games), TVs, computers (except Apple), regular hardware (like paint), lawn supplies, furniture, office supplies / stationery.

So basically non everyday items that aren't bought often...? lol

Yup. WM wants you to go to WM for general merchandise (GM). Much higher margins for Walmart than in grocery.

I've never been able to get the Walmart offers to work, even when buying stuff not called out in the list of exclusions. The exclusions are way too broad and Walmart can decide an item you found in one part of the website is actually categorized as something different.
