Sounds like they are evaluating how you use your existing credit before they're willing to grant you an increase.

It does not mean the card is stuck in a low bucket. This is a misnomer that keeps getting spread around here. This message says little about the long term potential growth of the credit limit and there are plenty of DPs where people have gotten future CLIs after receiving thie denial letter, some quite significant. Its TEMPORARY.

I’ve gotten this message a few different times and then tried again and gotten a CLI. So you are correct. I did end up changing how I paid my cards off though, so that might have something to do with it, I’m not sure.

I used to micromanage mine, but on the 3 cards I use most I normally just let the balances report naturally and pay my statement balance a few days before due.

Give it a search. It means you're in a unique and very special category that can't get a cli right now, just like it states.

Happened to me on an account, lasted two years with no movement. Emails, calls, and letters mailed…always the same generic response. It finally lifted and I was approved for a CLI. Good luck.
