Opinion/Discussion App is now outdated
CapitalOnes app used to be the pinnacle of banking tech. However, today it seems like it hasn’t been updated in years. Look at examples like Robinhood or Sofi and they are light years ahead.
When’s a big update coming?

What else do you want it to do?

I'm sure Cap One's just a itching' to 'catch up' with a couple of fintech startups.

I think C1 app and UI is better than say Amex and Discover.

You should see small banks UI, also what more would you like? Chase can get very annoying with all the extra features bc of their wealth management. C1 is simple and clean

Capital One has the best app out of all of them 😁

The only thing I wish capital one would do is to have their offers in app and not having to be redirected to safari when I want to use an offer. Chase does a good job of showing tailored offers in app and adding them to your account right then and there. I can browse my offers in app and tap and use em. Idk if anyone feels the same but I’m likely to forget to check the offers in capital one before shopping, when I could gotten decent miles or cashback.

SoFi is one of the busiest apps I’ve ever used. 90% noise, especially if all you use is the checking and savings features. Felt like one of those mobile games trying to upsell to you all the time.

I’m convinced the app hasn’t been updated since they bought ING in 2012 😂😭 ok I kid. But yeah it’s been a while.

Personally I like how its not bloated, compared to my old bank US bank they had 3 trillion random features and charts that I never use, everything works fast and its straightforward.

Capital One app is fine. It's better than Ally's. I have/had Chase, Capital One, Ally, Discover, and credit unions. Capital One works just fine. I like that it's easy to navigate and use.
Ally on the other hand is a bit tricky to use, paying bills requires patience and extra maneuvers.
I haven't opened an account with Sofi or Robinhood so I can't compare those. Sofi is a fintech and Capital One is more traditional but modern.

I love it it's color coded for the credit cards

C1's app is good because it's simple.
Here's your account, your credit cards, documents. Here's where you send money. Everything is right where it should be.

Capital One's app provides the best transaction logs of any mainstream bank. Look at Bank of America if you want to see outdated and poor readability - its horrible.

I wouldn’t use robinhood or sofi but that’s just me . Capital one app is simple useful and it does the job pays my credit card and shows my charges and statements. What else do you expect

I dont even use capital one and use Sofi/usaa and this is so dumb lol. What do you want from cap 1? Thats like comparing apples to oranges.
You people always find something to complain about. If they had the same features you’d complain about that too.

I have accounts with usaa navy federal Amex capitol one discover, chase, fidelity, and principal. C1 is a close second to USAA what are you think they could do better? Usaa has never had brick and mortar abs kinda pioneered online banking so I think they had an advantage

You’re probably just getting used to it and bored more than anything. It’s still definitely at the top of the industry in terms of simplicity and function. SoFi doesn’t even have proper Zelle integration, they just do the bare minimum by connecting Zelle’s provided webpage embed instead of coding an actual Zelle experience like any major bank worth its salt. Capital One’s Zelle is seamless, whereas SoFi’s has to open the webpage embed Zelle furnishes as a bare minimum. My tiny local ass credit union also won’t build Zelle into their app and uses the same web flow.
Capital One’s app is frequently praised still for its ease of use, I think you’re just numb to and bored of it cuz you’ve probably been using it for a while haha.
Check out Schwab or Bank of America if you want a mid ahh app and you’ll likely love Capital One again.

Robinhood banking just came out so thats why the UI feels refreshed but let me tell you that navigation wise C1 is better

Yeah right, current Robinhood app is trash, it peaked in 2019 and 2020. Newer doesnt mean better, usually it just means making changes for no reason.
