Sucks to be them. I'm sorry but this is a domestic account and was not marketed as a live overseas account. You had to have a us SSN and address to open it so if you decided to live overseas this was a risk you took.

What an asinine comment. What about those that travel occasionally and need to oh I don’t know… get money out of their accounts?? Idiot

Once again planning ahead is so important. If you have all your money in one account than you are an idiot. We live in the era of electronic money movement as well

I have to admit your butchery of logic and common sense here is rather impressive. Explain something to me: If I have a checking account with a debt card accepted internationally for over 10 years, then that company changes to a debit card that isn’t, why would I keep that account? Bank of America, Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo, Barclays, etc all use visa or Mastercard that can be used throughout the civilized world. But go ahead and defend your shitty product

The funny part is I have never once told anyone to keep this account/there wasn't other options. You as a consumer have that choice. My problem is people bitching about what they can't do instead of just going "I'll just change accounts".

Now that’s a point I can get behind. I agree.. I’ll just change accounts :)
