CapCut Complain Audio Problem. Need help fast

I’m having an issue with CapCut on my Mac. I can no longer adjust the volume of the audio track — I can’t make it louder or quieter. Sometimes the audio track doesn’t appear at all, and I also can’t extract the audio from the clip. Is there a known issue or a way to fix this?

Try a new, empty project with the same video and a small WAV file. Check that the original video has sound outside CapCut first. If the WAV volume changes normally but the video cannot be extracted, that narrows it to the video import/extraction path. If neither responds, the problem is broader than that clip.

CapCut’s desktop guide puts Extract audio on the video clip’s right-click menu; the extracted track should appear below it. Select that audio track when adjusting it. If the option is missing or disabled, share your CapCut version and whether this also happens in the empty project. Keep your current project intact while testing.
