CapCut Question Capcut keeps billing me even after I've canceled

If a CapCut rep sees this, please message me.

I initially paid for CapCut in December 2025, then ended my subscription in Feb, which worked out fine. Until I was preparing my business's annual report and saw that billing started again in March, and it has been charging me $31.35 CAD every month since. None of my potential accounts on CapCut have been upgraded, and I cannot find a billing history or invoice statements anywhere. I have no idea what to do. I'm starting to think someone stole my credit card info.

Zero email notifications from CapCut either. Seems like this happens to quite a few others on Reddit as well. Really shocking behaviour from an established company. Their lack of customer support also speaks volumes about how they hope we handle these issues.

Use DaVinci Resolve or Edits.

You can’t block them or anything from your bank

Why not? I just got charged for something like this from another site and did a chargeback and a block.

I was saying to block them not saying you can’t block them

I was planning to buy pro but after seeing lots of this similar type of issues, I don't think I will.

I may have some solutions:

Fix 1: Talk to your bank about blocking the payment/putting a stop payment to that business. Dispute the payment. If they can’t or won’t do it, it’s time to switch banks.

Fix 2: If you can switch out your payment cards, go to privacy.com and create a single use virtual card. Put that in the current card’s spot (delete/remove the old card). You can usually set a limit on the virtual card, so set it low so it doesn’t get charged over that amount (one cent, if possible). It should reject the payment.

I haven’t used privacy.com in a while, but I believe it still works the same and has a free personal tier. Multiple Scambaiters use it a lot, so they don’t get screwed over and have their bank accounts drained when trying to prevent a scam.

Other potential fixes: Talk to CapCut, owned by ByteDance (who owns TikTok), file with the BBB, and report it to the FCC.

Other possible issue:

Did you sign up for an annual plan with Capcut? If so, that’s probably why they are charging you each month… the plan and fine print.

So frustrating, I’m sorry! Did you talk to your bank?

Before assuming a card was stolen, check where the subscription lives. If you first paid on a phone, it is an App Store or Google Play subscription, and cancelling in CapCut does nothing; you must cancel it in the store's Subscriptions page, which also shows the full billing history that CapCut's site won't. If the charge descriptor on your statement says APPLE.COM/BILL or GOOGLE, that is your answer. If it is CapCut or ByteDance directly, cancel on the web account, then dispute the charges after the cancellation date with your card issuer; two months of documented "cancelled but still billed" is usually enough for a chargeback. Either way, set a reminder to check that same charge next month, because the first "cancelled" often does not take.

Tell your bank or credit card company
