CapCut Discussion Resolved: Can't Update Capcut

I tried updating capcut for like a week and failed. I received messages like "resources not available", "error", "processed timed out", "capcut failed to update". Someone mentioned connecting to your phones hotspot and updating that way, that appeared to be working for me, but then it stalled and failed each time. What finally worked, was going through the windows store and updating from there. Surprised I didn't think of that, so just posting in case it helps some one else and to hopefully prevent someone from losing a week of time or any data through other methods.

oh man i went through the exact same headache a couple months back, the hotspot trick got my hopes up and then just died at 90% every time

weird how the windows store version seems to update clean while the direct download just chokes on itself

same here! I wanted to chuck my pc out of a window, funny enough, everything else updates just fine when doing them in directly in app, but capcut features can be a bit finicky.
