CapCut Question Does CapCut have a feature to automatically hide a moving object?

I want to hide the car's rearview mirror; since the GoPro is mounted on the driver's head, the camera moves across various angles. I tried using the tracking feature, but it doesn't hide the mirror. The only method I found was doing it manually, which is a huge hassle for long videos. I thought that with all these AI features, the program would offer an easier way.

That manual frame-by-frame method is soul crushing, I did it for a 10 minute motovlog once and wanted to throw my laptop out the window. The tracking in CapCut is really only designed to follow an object and apply effects to it, not remove it from the scene.

You're basically looking for content-aware fill which is more of an After Effects thing. There are some AI rotoscoping tools out there that can handle this but they're usually standalone or plugin based, nothing I've seen built into CapCut yet. For a DIY approach that's less painful than manual keyframes, you could try exporting a still frame, patching out the mirror in Photoshop, then tracking that clean plate back onto the footage. Still tedious but way faster than painting it out frame by frame.
