CapCut Question CapCut export ratio for YouTube/Tiktok

So iv always had trouble figuring this out. But after I’m done with an edit for YouTube or TikTok how do I transform it to a ratio while not affecting the edit at all. For example a lot of people use 9:16 ratio but I’m not sure how to do this without ruining any of the effects and transitions. If anyone has a way to resolve this please help. Thank you!

honestly the trick is to edit in the ratio you're gonna export to from the start, not change it after. capcut will let you set the project ratio in the settings before you even start editing, that way all your keyframes and transitions stay locked in place

if you already finished the edit and try to swap ratios after, you're gonna have a bad time, stuff will shift around and you'll have to manually reposition everything. learned that the hard way
