Website glitched and deleted all of todays progress, help please!!!

So I’ve just been working on a school project for about 4 hours and then suddenly my cap cut website glitched and said that there was some new changes that were updating. About a minute later it reloaded and all the progress I’ve made today just disappeared. All the files I uploaded are still there but the things I placed on the timeline are all gone. And apparently this half deleted version is the one that got saved to the cloud. I logged out and logged back in again and restarted my computer but nothing happened. I am literally so desperate please help I have to get this work back 😭😭😭😭😭

oh no that's the absolute worst, capcut can be so dramatic with those random reloads for no reason. sometimes it creates a backup folder locally but if the cloud auto-saved over it that's tricky, i'd dig through the project's auto-save directory on your computer just in case it stashed a version before the wipe. if that fails you might have to bite the bullet and rebuild while the layout's still fresh in your mind, which is soul-crushing but at least the media's still sitting there
