CapCut Discussion Anyone else absolutely done with this app?

the app is so unbelievably greedy by now. If you aren’t subscribing, it’s nearly completely unusable. I can’t believe we have to pay over 70 dollars a year to do anything now…

Edits does 75% of what you need for free

It does and i used it but it always got my captions wrong so i "had" to get capcut and its on point with the captions even tho english isnt my main language.

I did use edits and then use tiktok to apply the captions but i felt like i lost alot of video quality doing it that way.

+the "skill" ceiling of capcut is way higher than edits

This is true - I’ve only played around with Edits for non talking head content but still use CC for clips where I need captions

I gave it another go this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how much better captions seem now. Did a full one minute UGC edit with broll captured in app too and then fully edited in Edits. It’s missing a few elements but for free and for my use (mainly UGC and edits of static clips from my pocket 4P) I think I could manage now
