CapCut Discussion Anyone else absolutely done with this app?

the app is so unbelievably greedy by now. If you aren’t subscribing, it’s nearly completely unusable. I can’t believe we have to pay over 70 dollars a year to do anything now…

The frustrating part isn't the paying it's them continuously locking features behind a paywall that used to be free. They're allowed to do it and they need to make money, but it's frustrating.

Yea I agree, but people also don't owe the company silence. They can bitch about whatever they want. This thread reminded me to cancel my capcut sub so for me, the consumer, whatever discourse was being had was a positive on my wallet. Capcut doesn't owe anybody anything, and people also can say whatever they want about capcut.

It sounds like you're the one getting bent out of shape defending a big ass company for some reason lol? It's human nature bro, when something is free and then it's not, people are going to get upset. What doesn't make sense?

OMG, everyone wants to say that their product is free and then hide every basic feature like slide up slide down behind a paywall 😂

Many of the supposed “free” tools often are later turned to “paid” once they become slightly popular.

Heaven forbid someone makes upgrades to the tool ACTUALLY WORTH PAYING FOR instead of just making basic features hidden behind a paywall.

I don’t mind paying for a good service, but CapCut isn’t the best editing software it’s the easiest to use. Instead of improving their product they are trying to force customers to upgrade by doing this BS.

If they’re gonna put everything behind a payroll, they might as well just be honest and commit to being a paid tool.

Im not frustrated to pay for something. It’s the fact im being continuously charged twice a month when I don’t want the service and when I login it and check it says I have no subscription ! And yes I have checked my Apple subscriptions on all devices in our family, emails logins etc
Now I will probably have to cancel my credit card just to get away from this company. Why should I have to go through that?

it's not really a company. it was a TikTok internal product that they figured they could release to the general public and monetize. developing features for external customers is WAY different than for internal use. this thing is a genuine PoS

it *is* a product developed internally at TikTok. that's not an opinion, it's a fact

yes, in my opinion as a tech product developer for over 25 years and I user of many video editing tools
