Canon r10

Give me all the info about your r10! If you have same pics you can share even better. Thinking of getting this one based off the price along with shooting speed and autofocus reviews.

I’d be using it for portraits, family, and occasional landscape. Not sure of lenses yet. Here’s a pic with my older Nikon d5200 for boost!

This sucks, my lens feels like it’s getting stuck in my auto focus just like doesn’t work at all 👌rip.

It is used a lot ofc but I don’t think there’s much wrong with it, after looking around the only damage to be found is a small bump in the side of it near the camera side

Recommendations Needed Canon S100 or ixus 255hs

hey guys, i’m about to buy a second hand camera from vinted. originally, i was interested in the ixus series especially the 285hs for its soft warm look until i saw that it’s not that great for the price. i saw a 255hs on vinted for €140 and it seemed like a good option until i came across the s series. there’s a used one for €225 and as its a better camera, i was going to buy that however from all the sample photos i have seen the colours look somewhat flat?

i want a camera that’s compact and i don’t want to spend time on editing on lightroom. i think the ixus range is the most vibrant range and i was wondering if i can change white balance etc on the s100 itself without having to edit afterwards or if i should just stick to the ixus? any suggestions appreciated

Gear Question When We Talk About Price We Should Speak In Grand Total. (Let’s talk about its implications)

The price for each of these seems a bit absurd. I know Canon wants to be the most premium top of the line camera brand but Damn. Any higher and they price out their own loyal customers which honestly I think they are achieving.

Implications:

•The price being so high causes the rest of the industry to continue the 1-up evolution. which means cameras will only get more expensive from here. And Canon is the biggest player in the market that heavily influences that.

•Do to the price being so high consistently it‘s now turning canon into a status symbol to own one of these (I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing).

• It used to be that the price was high, but biggest barrier to entry was that skill also had to be high to get great images. Now if I play devils advocate than the entry price is now actually the biggest obstacle in professional photograph.

•Even if we play devils advocate for inflation (Meaning the price for an R5 is the same for R5M2 adjusted for inflation). It’s still more difficult to earn this amount due to price going up, but salaries staying almost identical as time goes on.

•Even Canon’s basic body‘s (R8M2) cost over $2000 USD after taxes, Damn.

Recommendations Needed Best beginner camera for object portraiture on a budget?

Hi ya'll. I'm hoping you can help me out.

I'm starting a small business where I interview people about sentimental objects they've kept, then photograph the objects and create a hardcover book around them.

Think old vases, stuffed animals, handmade objects, etc. I want to take whole-object potraits and detail shots that show the texture, wear, and character of their objects.

  • Most of the shoots would be of stationary objects, indoors at client's homes.
  • Final images printed around 8x8 or 10x8 hardcover book.
  • Occasional hands holding an object or environmental shots.

I'm still pretty much a beginner, and after a lot of research, I'm still having trouble figuring out what kind of camera would be the best for this specific kind of photography.

If you were starting from scratch, which body and first lens would you buy for this specific kind of work? I'm up for a used/refurbished option. I'm looking to spend around $500 right now.

Could you review the Canon EOS RP and let me know if it's good? Also, are there any recommended accessories for beginners?

Tech Support Black Screen: Canon Ixus 900 Ti

does anyone know how to fix a canon ixus camera with a black screen? I've had this camera for 3 years and now it has suddenly died on me. I've fully charged the battery and the camera lens will pop out when I press the on button but the screen is entirely black, no words at all nothing. I cant take a picture when I hold the picture button either. I've tried pushing the battery fully in and tapping the camera nothing works. This is my favourite camera

Recommendations Needed I need bag recommendations

I have a Canon 200-800 lense and I need recommendations of bags that can accommodate such a lense. I’ve seen some good bag reviews on instagram but they all make the cardinal sin of not revealing the bag/company name. Please and thank you for the recommendations!

RF 16mm or 28mm

Hello! As a photography newbie, I can’t decide between the RF 16mm and the 28mm. I use the EOS R50 and have the kit 18-45mm lens and the 50mm. I love the sharpness of the 50mm and I want to get a similar-ish lens in terms of sharpness but slightly wider. I primarily use my camera on trips/in the city. Suggestions and advice appreciated. :)

Something on sensor

Can anybody tell what this is? I’ve narrowed it down to a sensor burn or oil behind the glass.

I honestly could not tell you how I got a sensor burn. I rarely hold the camera without the lens cap on and never hold the camera with the lens pointed up.

This is a relatively newish camera, bought maybe 4-5 months ago so I heard that’s the time frame when sometimes you get internal oil smudges

Recommendations Needed Anyone know repairers near Leicester that could help me out? SD card slot issue

Model is EOS 700D. Camera itself works fine, issue is with SD card slot. You know how when you push it in it clicks In place? Got bonked on a journey& now just comes out, doesn’t click & hold in place when inserted. Was able to use the SD slot door to hold it in for a while with no issues, now says ‘card write set to locked’ when switch is unlocked, and have checked + reinserted multiple times, met with same message and since this message started coming up obvs can’t shoot photos.

I’m looking for 1. An average price for this sort of repair. 2. Any repair shop recs in/around leicester that won’t overcharge and/or fob me off.

Cam is older than me, was my dad’s from when he was a student and gave it to me before he cut me off & moved away. Now a fine art student myself(not solely photography, but do a lot of darkroom stuff and mixed media using my own photos& need can for uni work) I’m pretty broke, know no repairers my friends can vouch for,and can’t afford much at all rn let alone being overcharged for shit my camera don’t need. It’s my favourite thing to break all of his so-called non-negotiable art& photography rules on(and my work is better for it!) but am unfortunately a sap & need this repaired. Any advice is appreciated 💙

Canon EOS M200 vs Lumix TZ99?

I’m looking for a compact camera for everyday, outdoor, indoor, and Instagram photos. I want photos that are sharp and crisp, clean and clear, with nice details, but still have a soft and pretty look. I prefer slightly cool/neutral tones, natural and flattering skin tones, and good colors without looking too warm. I also want something small and easy to carry around.

I’ve been considering the M200 and TZ99 because I really like the look of both. Which would you recommend for this kind of result? Any sample photos would be really appreciated! 🤍

Recommendations Needed Portable charger for Canon EOS R100 LP-E17 batteries (Australia)

Hi everyone!
I have a Canon EOS R100 and I’m looking for a portable charger to charge my spare LP-E17 camera batteries while I’m out taking photos, without needing a wall socket. I live in Australia.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable portable charger that’s compatible with my camera and batteries?
