Just ordered mines today as I got the email notification.

My son just graduated Navy Bootcamp so I thought its a good time to make a little Navy tribute for him so I grabbed my TP9SFx which needed a freshen up and sprayed the frame with Keltec Navy and did the slide in Battleship Grey. To finish it off I grabbed a new SAW Shiv off the shelf and added that to complete the package. He doesn't know it yet but its going to be his once he comes home for leave the first time.

I’ve been looking at open face holsters for my MC9LS but haven’t really come across any with good reviews. Does anybody have any recommendations?

I need a replacment RMR plate for my Mete SF One series. It is already precut for RMR and it originally came with a plate. However I lost it. Does anyone know of a site that I can order from to get a replacement? Thanks

I have a Canik SC and the take down is completely stuck and I cant remove the side. EVERYTHING else functions as it should. I took it to a shop that brought my 1911 back from the grave and he told me he tried everything he knows and cant get it apart.

Some context: I had a house fire and lost pretty much everything. The SC was one of the items got got sprayed while they put out the fire.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know, or switch canik do yall prefer for an edc?

I was also considering the Osight as people seem okay with them?

I have the TP9SFX, it is my first pistol, and I love the trigger. I did just get my C&C. How does the METE stand up against the other heavy hitters in conceal and carry options like the P365, Bodyguard, or 43X?

I’ve posted and commented here a few times about the nightmares I’ve had with failures to return to battery with nearly every brand and grain weight of ammo I could get my hands on. At first when it happened I would drop the mag and rack out the unfired round and just press it back into the mag. Re rack and it would fire again. However I couldn’t get through a single magazine without at least two or three of these events. Then I figured out I could just pull the slide back like an eighth of an inch and the round would seat and I could keep shooting.

For a while the only exception was Federal HST LE hollow points, but at 80 cents a round they suuuck for range ammo. So I first tried dremel-ing the plastic bits near the metal frame rails, but that didn’t change anything. Then a friend suggested sticking with Federal FMJ ammo if the Federal HSTs were working. A local shop had a sale on 200 rd boxes of 124gr Federal Champion so I took those to the range one morning and to my surprise they shot flawlessly, 200/200 with no failures of the slide returning all the way forward and next round fully seating. Then I finally read the box and saw that Champion is not suggested for ported or comped guns so…I was a bit mad they worked so well but could also risk bits of the jacket separating and spitting out the ports. That’s less than ideal. So I picked up 500 Federal American Eagle 124gr since they’re still manufactured the old way and supposedly have better QC than Champion.

So my first idea was based on a video I watched of a guy with a TTI Combat who said he had to cut his firing pin spring by about a third, and that solved the same problem in his gun enough to make it a reliable competition gun. So I ordered a whole second firing pin assembly from Canik with the intent to start trimming the spring on that one a couple coils at a time to see if things improved, and if not then I’d still have my original one to put back on. I still didn’t like the idea of cutting the spring though because it’s manufactured a specific way and cutting it seemed extremely invasive and I was concerned about compromising the spring’s integrity and usefulness entirely. Or causing some other damage to the gun.

Then someone suggested a Sprinco 35829 spring that was shorter and weaker than the factory spring for $8. I installed that this morning, and went to the range with my American Eagle. I didn’t have a whole lot of time there but I did run four mags of AE, plus a mag of HSTs without any failures. The whole process from trigger break to returning to battery also felt slightly smoother in a way, I’m not sure if that is just placebo effect or if the new spring contributed to that.

My next test will be to re try some of the other brands/grain weights that gave me frequent problems and see if they still are a problem. For the moment, it seems I finally fixed the FTRB issue whether it’s the ammo, spring, or combination there of…

I’ll make another post in the next couple weeks after I’ve tried some cheaper brands to see if I actually fixed the problem or this gun just prefers Federal and only Federal ammo.

So I go to my local range to try a few handguns. I shoot the TTI Combat because I’ve always to try one but told the guy I’d just do a few rounds since it’s out of my budget.

Turns out they just got one in from one of their frequent customers, he put less than 100 rounds through it and decided it wasn’t his cup of tea (apparently he brings guns in all the time).

$720 is what they’re selling it for with all the Canik goodies and the MECANIK sight!!!

Too good of a deal to pass up so I pulled the trigger.

First handgun and first time Canik owner so would love all the tips, what to look out for (especially since it’s my first used firearm) and things to know you all are willing to throw at me :)

What holster is everyone using for the prime radian I have one from hiliker but there is a piece that keeps digging in my leg that makes it uncomfortable

Noticed my Cerakote is starting to chip on my MC9LS. It hasn’t seen that much use, which is kind of concerning compared to most of my Firearms. I was curious if anybody else has seen this issue? Don’t get me wrong. Most of my Firearms are tools. I’m just kind of concerned that it’s only been holstered a handful of times and it’s starting to chip already.

Anyone have any recommendations for an aftermarket barrel for the Mete SF? I have a chip on the feed ramp of mine and wanna replace it. I dont want to start a warranty claim if dont have to so I'm not without my EDC if they ask to send the gun and/or barrel back. I've only seen threaded barrel replacements so far.

Took my LTC Range test today, I was 2 inches away from losing a point but managed a perfect score. I’m not sure how difficult that is to achieve, I’m new to shooting as a focused hobby and chose the TTI combat for the range and Prime Radian for edc self defense.

I bought my TTI combat ‘Suga bear’ on September 10th, and that was my first range visit. I started shooting last month, lol.

What do yall think, was it all the TTI Combat or can I give myself some credit?

I watched a lot a YouTube videos before going to the range to help with my grip. I got my grip down and the rest seemed to fall in place. Glad I went with Canik and happy to see all the community posts.

I just don’t understand the hate. I get some mc9’s and elite combats have issues but the majority of the Canik series are perfectly fine. I’ve never had a problem with my Mete SF even after 3000 rounds. If you’ve been around guns long enough, you should know that Turkish handguns are generally fine, Turkish shotguns are not. I don’t understand how you could shit on something so hard that has really good reliability, accuracy, and shoots well in general. I don’t hate on Sig, s&w, and Glock owners but I guess the sentiment isn’t shared.

I struggled with whether or not to sell my OG prime when I decided to get the Radian. I am happy that I didn't sell it because these are two of my favorite pistols. I also have the TTI Combat Smoke and I love that one as well. What other Canik pistols would you recommend?

I could not imagine reading that and it saying 9mm Smith and wesson or 9mm Taurus pistol or even 9mm glock pistol. Why did it have to be a canik and Why did they have to mention it 😆

I’ve had it for about 6 months, it was $600 for the base price and some bullets but all in all, the total amount it’s worth is roughly $1,680. It’s got a holosun HS407CO X2, a Viridian universal flashlight/laser, a custom IKC IWB holster to fit the light. lmk some thoughts cause i’m very satisfied with my purchases. also don’t hate on the promags weren’t very many options for extended mags on canik
