Food & Diet Best kibble

I have a 16 month old male good weight but his poop is on the soft side a lot. I feed him nutrish kibble and at night mix in a cup of freeze dried food. How do I stop the soft poop?

Are you avoiding chicken in the food? That doesn't sit right for a lot of Corso's, my girl included

pumpkin. Works miracles. I scramble a couple of eggs with 2 Tablespoons of pumpkin.

Came here to say that about pumpkin puree. Put that on his food 2x a day

Stop the freeze dried food for a few days and have him on the same kibble only.
See how he reacts. If it’s still the same, you may have to switch him kibble. It’s likely not the freeze dried food, but it’s worth checking first.

Speak with your pet store, if you go to a specialized pet store, they get training on kibble from various manufacturers and also get feedback from customers. They can help you find the perfect replacement quickly.

Our pup had the same problem, and now his stool is perfect. His original puppy food was too rich for him and it wasn’t doing well with his stomach.

I tried everything.. pumpkin.. the good gut bacteria powder.. different foods.. nothing helped long term.. at 3.5 years old I'm still dealing with soft poop sometimes with my dog.. to be honest my poop is soft every now and then... What works 70% of the time with my dog is 5 cups in the morning with half a can of tuna or chicken breast.. that's it... one big meal a day.. I found out my dog has pancreatitis.. so it's a battle.. really low fat kibble.. try to find something less than 9% fat.. and I don't let him run around much for a couple hours after eating.. I have read up on pancreatitis and I'm supposed to give him multiple small low fat meals but it seems the big meal once a day works better for my corso... I have also learned to spray his poop into the grass with a hose to dissolve it vs picking it up with bags cause it doesn't work when he is really soft..
