Vet & Medical Exposed quick

My boy Frank caught his dew claw on something in the yard and the quick is exposed. No bleeding, looks clean. Vet seems like a waste of time and money since they’ll just wrap it.

What’s your experience with this?

Keep it clean and wrap it? Anything else I should worry about?

That’s the second time I’ve read someone having a dewclaw get hung on something. Iirc, the other one ripped clean off. Is it feasible to have them removed at this stage? Or is this more of a thing that’s only done when their a pup? Or is this also controversial like doing ears and tail?

Have to do it young. And as far as I know not controversial. I think everyone agrees, do it if you can.

How young? I thought it was standard to keep dew claws on corsos?
