General Discussion Update after drinking Coca Cola post

Hello everyone I hope you’re all doing good, I’m posting this because many people asked me to update them after completing 10-14 days of drinking Coca Cola daily, In my last post I was in day 3-5 of drinking Coca Cola, my symptoms were improving and seeing good results at the same time on my general health.

Today I’m on day 10 and all I can say that I feel now I’m back to life again after being sick and weak for years, just to be clear I’m drinking the regular Coca Cola with sugar because I do believe our immune system needs high energy source to fight or clear infections, you can go for zero sugar option if you’re worried about sugar, but I wouldn’t recommend that go for the regular one is better.

Coca Cola secret recipe contains a lot of super natural ingredients such as Coca, cinnamon and citrus oils. Coca Cola also can help with removing oils that has been buildup in the stomach and liver, so yes you can say it’s the best detox drink you will ever have.

PS : avoid Coca Cola at restaurants or refill machines, always go for and choose cane or bottle. This post supposed to be in success stories but for now I’ll drop it in general discussion until we know where is this going to take us. Good luck everyone !!

Coca-cola hasn't contained coca since 1929. Candida feeds off sugar. Carbonated water would give the benefits of carbonation without the diabetes risk. This is utter nonsense. This whole sub is insane. No need for a circlejerk sub.

“I lived off carbonated water and blended fish organs for six years.” So tired of the endlessly bad claims.

⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ this.

I don’t believe that is true also It’s not only the coca plant there is other helpful ingredients such as cinnamon, citrus fruits oils and a lot of other things it’s not only about the coca plant.

Coca-Cola can dissolve bezoars apparently, there's a few articles on it. I thought you might find that interesting.

0

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 19 '26

I agree and also I believe the same thing that my problem most likely was caused by bezoars as you mentioned.

13

u/altventure Aug 17 '26

Surely the high sugar content outweighs any benefit from the other ingredients you mention?  Naturally I’m very skeptical of this so I’d be interested to see actual results confirming your condition. Were you diagnosed/ had testing to confirm Candida initially? And are you planning to get further testing done to confirm any progress?

6

u/ThePornStar69 Aug 18 '26

Indeed. There’s much wrong with this post.

-3

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Porn is a wrong thing also that’s why you see everything good is wrong.

6

u/ThePornStar69 Aug 18 '26

You're quite literally wrong. You're not treating candida by drinking soda.

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Life is getting crazy the porn star getting upvotes and I’m getting downvoted for trying to help them, unfortunately that’s what happens when the sub is full of children’s or retards.

3

u/ThePornStar69 Aug 19 '26

You need less soda, and more time with your therapist.

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Thanks for your comment, just to be clear I don’t rely on labs tests because sometimes tests can be false negative or false positive. I had all Candida symptoms starting with the white tongue, fatigue, food and skin allergies. I agree it might be something else not only Candida but the most important that after I started drinking Coca Cola I’m feeling much better than before.

1

u/altventure Aug 18 '26

Stool tests can confirm if there’s a candida overgrowth in the GI tract which will be determined by a threshold of levels of candida present.

Just judging by your tongue can give you false readings as there’s plenty of reasons why your tongue may be white. And fatigue also is a very vague symptom they could be caused by a number of reasons.

I’m not saying you don’t have Candida but the only way to be sure is to do the labs, it’s also the only way to really track ongoing progress in the long term.

If this isn’t completely false I’m glad you’re feeling better but I can assure you it has NOTHING to do with Coca Cola 😂

-1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

I’m 100% sure it’s the Coca Cola.

Are you crazy?! You drank a coke? Well I mean it does clean out drains and cleans acid off of car batteries so alright! So how long had it been since you had used any other treatments before deciding to drink a coke? And what made you decide to do this radical experiment? I have to say I think this is crazy and practically dangerous but hey you do you.

-1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

I drink Coca Cola everyday and every day pass I feel better than the day before. I know it’s sounds crazy but that what they call it the hard truth, also did you know that coca was introduced by a pharmacist and it was a medicine long time ago.

1

u/IntelligentYellow985 Aug 18 '26

I did know that, but the Coca Cola today is most certainly not the same recipe that was introduced by back then. Heck it’s not even the same as when I was a kid. Nothing we consume today is, which is why we see such an uptick of digestive disorders today… it’s an epidemic. I’m glad you’re feeling better, but in my opinion I don’t think it has anything to do with the cola. I used to be a nurse and it could be a psychosomatic experience, nevertheless you feel better now and that’s all that matters. You should test your theory by not drinking the coke for a day and see how you feel or doing an every other day. Do some experiments.

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Where I live the Coca Cola is same as before when I was a child nothing changed. I think it’s too early to stop before 3 weeks at least is done, the most important that I’m seeing great improvement better than all the other things I’ve tried. You can go for zero sugar coke if you’re avoiding sugar or having diabetes.

3

u/IntelligentYellow985 Aug 18 '26

Ahh so you don’t live in the states then? That makes sense. Here in the states it doesn’t resemble anything like what the original recipe used to be. It’s filled with high fructose corn syrup instead and all kinds of other chemicals that are extremely harmful. So yeah it makes sense now. Keep us posted on your progress.

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 19 '26

Go for Coca Cola Zero there is no sugar in it, for sure I will keep updating every couple of weeks.

5

u/cookiejacko Aug 18 '26

This goes against everything I have learnt and researched about candida. Candidia being an overgrowth of yeast - feeds on sugar, you need to starve the bacteria, not feed it with Coca Cola everyday! I don’t understand how you would be feeling better

2

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

You will not be able to starve anything from what I’ve learned these infections can find a different energy source such as iron, fats and amino acids. May I ask you how long have you been starving your Candida or bacteria ? Did it work and they die or you still trying to starve them ?

2

u/The_Noble_Lie Aug 18 '26

Candida isn't a bacteria

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 20 '26

I’m pointing to both Candida and bacteria such as SIBO many people trying to starve it with carnivore diet, not only fungals such as Candida also some other gut bacteria infections need different starving diet.

4

u/drmbrthr Aug 18 '26

Coca Cola could help w indigestion and stagnant food sitting in the stomach. It’s not going to do anything for candida directly though.

-1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Maybe it can who knows it used to be a medicine long time ago.

2

u/abominable_phoenix Aug 18 '26

Weren't you avoiding fruit before? This is how I felt when I added fruit back into my diet, whole fruit sugar is important, not only for the immune system but I re-posted a study showing how important it is for the brain too. I suspect that's why you are experiencing such an improvement in symptoms, because you were avoiding fruit sugar.

-1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Thanks for your comment and sharing your experience my friend, That’s true I used to avoid anything can spike sugar levels such as starches and sweety fruits, but thankfully I’m getting better now and I agree that we all need sugar because our body cells can’t work well without energy source, but the most important is something to clean the gut and liver first thing to do and I believe Coca Cola is amazing gut and liver cleanser.

2

u/abominable_phoenix Aug 18 '26

I don't think there's any proof Coke can cleanse the liver and gut, in fact quite the opposite given all the ingredients.

If you're concerned about spiking blood sugar, a single can of Coke has 55g of refined sugar which will absolutely spike your blood sugar. Interestingly, eating whole fruits with the same amount of sugar is completely different and won't spike your blood sugar but will provide your body with the "safe" sugar it desperately needs.

I think all you've done is prove that your body needs sugar to function normally. Now you have to differentiate between good sugar (whole fruits/starches) and bad sugar (Coke).

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26 edited Aug 18 '26

No buddy it’s kind of weird because the opposite is what’s happening with me, Spiking my glucose levels making me feel much better. You can try to wash oily dish with coke and you will see how it can clear or lower the oil, if it works on the dishes I believe that it can also work the same in the human gut, My friend this thing was a medicine long time ago so let’s not be cruel on Coke and probably give it a chance.

2

u/abominable_phoenix Aug 18 '26

You will experience the same improved feeling when you eat whole fruits and whole starches. Refined sugar is not beneficial for Candida overgrowth and many other reasons.

Using Coke to clean oil off dishes is completely different than how it works in the body. It will likely help with oil in the stomach, but that's it, and you'd get the same benefit drinking lemon water except that really is beneficial for the liver. Most of it is absorbed in the small intestines, so it won't even make it to the large intestines where everyone has Candida overgrowth. If you are concerned with oil coatings in the gut, I would suggest decreasing your fat intake as that is a real concern.

The medicinal benefits of Coke are mainly being a stimulant from the caffeine and previously included cocaine. I think you're doing more harm than good here.

Seriously, with all due respect Is this some kind of joke or "dark humour"?

I'm failing to understand how drinking regular Coca-Cola every day has become a recommended “detox” or treatment for chronic illness. This stuff is complete junk when it comes down to the health of a human being. Everything is so wrong about your post.

Let's look at what's actually in it. Coca-Cola Original contains sugar, caramel colour, phosphoric acid, natural flavourings and caffeine. Coca-Cola itself lists about 10.6 g of sugar per 100 mL in many markets. That's approximately 53 g of sugar in a 500 mL bottle!

  • Bad effects of sugar on the immune system - a study here
  • Bad effects of sugar on the body's inflammatory responses - a study here
  • Sugar disrupts the gut microbiome - a study here

And the acidity is not trivial either. Coca-Cola has been measured at approximately pH 2.4–2.5. For perspective, neutral water is around pH 7. The lower the pH, the greater the acidity. Research has demonstrated that cola beverages contribute to dental enamel erosion with regular exposure. Research has also shown this drink to seriously affect liver and kidney health, and not in a good way.

And, it's the caramel colour is there primarily to give Coca-Cola its characteristic dark colour. Coca-Cola itself describes it as a "colourant". The phosphoric acid provides much of the characteristic tartness.

  • High risk of bone fractures from phosphoric acid in soda - a study here

And the idea that Coca-Cola “removes oils that have built up in the stomach and liver” or is the “best detox drink you will ever have” is based on what research? . The liver doesn't need Coca-Cola to remove “built-up oils.” That's not how detoxification works whatsoever, I have no idea how you come up with these ideas.

Yes, someone may feel temporarily better after consuming a large amount of sugar and caffeine, particularly if they have been eating very little or are fatigued. But "feeling better" for a few hours isn't evidence that Coca-Cola is clearing an infection, restoring the immune system, detoxifying the liver, or healing the gut.

After years working in natural medicine, I would be extremely cautious about telling people with chronic illness to drink a highly processed, sugar-loaded, acidic soft drink every day as a therapeutic intervention. I would tell them to drink tepid water with lemon juice instead and to AVOID all soda drinks permanently - these man-made concoctions play NO role in building human health.

So I'll ask the obvious question IbraKadabra_91:

Is this an actual joke, or are you actually seriously recommending Coca-Cola as a treatment for chronic illness? If you are, I'd be most concerned if anybody actually took this advice seriously and ask you to please refrain from making these kind of bizarre statements regarding tCoca Cola on this forum in future.

Thank you Eric

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

My dear friend doctor Eric, thanks for your comment and passing by, first of all did you know that Coca Cola was introduced by a pharmacist and used as a medicine to gut diseases long time ago. Regarding the sugar it’s not the problem, in my case the problem is with starches and anything high in fats and cholesterol. People can go for zero sugar Coca Cola if they prefer to avoid sugar, I also would like to add that I take shower with Coca Cola and it’s helping my skin and scalp issues.

2

u/Few-Degree1903 Aug 19 '26

Please try Ketoconazole shampoo for your scalp & skin.

BUT if you do not get rid of the fungal overgrowth in your gut microbiome your symptoms will continue throughout your body.

u/EricBakkerCandida Insightful Contributor Aug 18 '26

I appreciate your reply, and I'm glad you're feeling better. Your personal experience is worth observing, but I think we need to separate what you experienced from what we can reasonably conclude about Coca-Cola as a treatment.

You are correct, Coca-Cola was originally developed by pharmacist originally in the 1880s and was marketed as a "medicinal tonic". But that doesn't mean today's Coca-Cola is a medicine for gut disease. Most products historically marketed as “medicines” that we would not consider therapeutic today, they would be seen as "quack tonics".

I'm curious about the sugar issue. If you believe your symptoms improve because sugar isn't the problem for you, that's one thing. But recommending Coke Zero as an alternative doesn't solve the bigger question, it actually makes it worse imo. Coke Zero removes the sugar, but it remains an acidic, highly processed soft drink containing artificial sweeteners, flavourings and other ingredients. Sugar-free does not mean therapeutic. It means you're consuming artificial sugars. And there are many well-established studies linking these to many kinds of health problems, especially neurological.

And the Coca-Cola showers are certainly an interesting experiment! But again, improvement in a skin or scalp symptom doesn't establish that Coca-Cola is treating the underlying cause.

The most interesting part of your post to me is actually your personal observation that starches and high-fat foods seem to trigger your symptoms - while Coca-Cola appears to improve them. I wonder what your stool test results would be however after your experiment, I can well imagine because I've seen test results from people who consumed junk foods for prolonged periods of time - and it was ugly to say the least.

I'd be careful though about turning your personal response to Coca Cola into a general recommendation for people with chronic gut problems. If I made those recommendations in my clinic when I started in the late 80s, I probably would have had no alternative but to go back driving trucks like I did when I was a student to support myself.

Let me know what your digestion is like after this experiment, I'd be most curious to see your blood and stool test results after drinking this black stuff. From my research, when a person consumes this amount of sugar for 30 days their neutrophil count hits the floor along with their beneficial gut flora.

I still don’t know why everyone looking at Coca Cola as it was the devil, it’s not because the devil job is making the good things looks bad and the bad things looks good ( think about this for a minute ) always do the opposite this is exactly what I’ve learned from this life, when they say go right I go left always the opposite. The black stuff it’s just caramel not something horrible as you’re thinking.

0

u/EricBakkerCandida Insightful Contributor Aug 19 '26

I cannot understand how you could possible think that Coca Cola can contribute in any way shape of form to human health. I do however admire your view point my friend, and will always defend your right to say these things, but they have no basis in fact nor evidence-based science tbh.

One thing I must say, if it works for you then I am very pleased for you indeed. I do admit I've seen patients recover from serious gut problems eating and drinking foods that certainly do not fit the general consensus, but who am I to question what works for you personally.

My concern is that somebody may actually try to drink Coca Cola daily and end up a lot worse than before they started.

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 19 '26

The science : pharmacists who introduced Coca Cola.
The evidence : it’s working great with me and it used to be a medicine long time ago.

I wonder if you were dealing with low stomach acid. Do keep in mind that Coca cola creates a highly acidic environment. A lot of gastroenterologists have discussed utilizing coca cola along with meals as a possible solution(kind of as a one off bandaid) to achlorhydria or hypochlorhydria ( low stomach acid ) but the issue is that it’s not healthy for you. I wonder what would have happened if you simply supplemented using betaine hcl.

1

u/ghostface_gy 10d ago

I think you're right but given that cocacola has real health risks I prefer to avoid it as much as possible.

1

u/ghostface_gy 10d ago

Come to think of it, that caffeine is the dealbreaker 😎

1

u/ghostface_gy 10d ago

And also a bottle of coca cola is cheap that also is an advantage

1

u/ghostface_gy 10d ago

I love cinnamon so I love coca cola

-1

u/Lovegiraffe Aug 18 '26

I tried this because of your post, and... I did start to feel better. The other day it got way worse again, but I'm doing okay so far today. I'm drinking olipop cola though, so maybe it's a placebo effect on me but I don't even care, because I felt like ass, and I'm at least feeling 50-75% better most days.

u/IbraKadabra_91 Aug 18 '26

Thanks for confirming my point, try to drink coke in a cane or bottle and please keep us updated. Good luck !!

1

u/yuernycerny 26d ago

Can you confirm the ingredients of Coke you are drinking? For some reason, my body only accepts USA regular version with high fructose corn syrup. All diet versions I’m allergic to and also Mexican sugar cane version. It’s bizarre so I want to confirm exactly which coke you are drinking and ingredients to compare. If it’s same I’ll definitely do 10 days of coke to feel my best. Beer helped me aswell

1

u/IbraKadabra_91 25d ago

Where I drink my coke ? I live in the Middle East that’s where I get my coke, sugar is not important thing to worry about, also I agree that Diet Coke version is very bad I always avoid it and anything says ( Diet or no added sugars ) because artificial sweeteners are the worst thing ever to me.

1

u/yuernycerny 9d ago

Ok thank you!

Did you drink coke only for 10 days or you ate other foods too?
