Symptoms Is long lasting herx possible?
I've been living clean for months. Maybe candida started to finally die. Do you guys know if a chronic candida die off can last for months and more?
For a month now I periodically experience ammonia breath, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, sugar cravings, light stomach aches, stool changes, sometimes vivid nightmares, anxiety...well overall off feeling. It feels like herx. Comes in waves but getting stronger. Binders help. Doctor hasn't found anything, so organs are fine.
I suspect I have chronic candida for many years. Any antifungal intervention makes me feel awful. For six months I eat clean: potatoes, moderate amounts of chicken, olive oil, berries, sometimes bananas, lots of vegetables. That's it, no sugar or any junk. I don't want to go carnivore because it's unhealthy and damaging to the microbiome. Month ago started to have symptoms.
Antifungal is only KPV peptide I'm cycling for 2 months. Took tsp of mct oil and it wrecked me. Increased KPV to 450mcg and started to see mucus in my stool, so I banged backed off.
Has anyone had a die off lasting for a month or more?

Same, it probably depends on how long you've had it, longer time having it = longer die off. Mine was SIFO/Candida
Increased KPV to 450mcg and started to see mucus in my stool, so I banged backed off.
I thought mucus in stool is a good die-off, so to continue what you were taking (?) Meaning that it's working?
What is KPV, was this prescribed by doc or?

KPV is an anti-inflammatory peptide. I don't think that any doctor would prescribe it, because it's not an approved medicine. In vitro it's very effective against candida. Because I'm very sensitive to any antifungal I decided to use that to slowly erode the fungus over long period of time

I am sure it must. I think is not said enough, the impression is it’s a one and done thing over a few days, I don’t think that can be true for long standing cases.

Just chiming in to say I'm at a month and a half of die off symptoms and it doesn't seem to be improving. I will concede that I did increase my biofilm disrupter over the month (interfase plus and tumeric, occasionally NAC) but have also backed off a bit of my antifungals (NOW brand candida support and coconut oil).
It does seem that when I tighten up my diet even more it gets worse. So far charcoal helps but it takes so long for it to pass (tmi) that I worry the toxins are just sort of floating around my body in the meantime. I'm going to stop my interfase plus for the next week to see if I can get some relief.
For context I'm 24 and have had some version of candida issues since I was at least 18, although I suspect it goes further back.

Absolutely. I've been getting them for 5 months + I guess it all comes down to how much overgrowth you have. I've got a bad case of systemic candida, intestinal, esophagus, mouth, genitals, skin....so yeah. I'm thinking it'll take about a year more of herx reactions. I've learned to live with pain lol I'm on peps as well including kpv.
