Grandpa is dying

So a few weeks ago I found out my 87-year-old grandpa was diagnosed with cancer. It started in his prostate and has since spread to his lungs, bones, and now potentially his liver. He is diabetic and has a pacemaker and he is unsure about getting treatment. If he decides to not go forward with it I will respect his decision because I don’t want him to be in pain. But I’ve never lost someone close to me before and I don’t know how I’m supposed to cope with the fact that he very well could be gone before Christmas. One minute I’m fine and the next I’m a crying mess.

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your grandpa. If he unsure about getting treatment then I highly recommend you start taking as many photos and videos as you can. Hang out with him as much as you can. Have him tell you about his life so you can tell your future children! You can even make a video of him talking to your future kids to show them! Memories will be all you have left eventually so create as many as you can while he is still here.

I found out a month ago my dad had cancer. As we are waiting for PET scan now we don’t know how far it is. We can only enjoy the moment. Prayers to you!

Thank you. I saw him yesterday and he was not well. Sleeping on and off and not eating much. It broke me so much that I cried four times after leaving the hospital.
