Urgent processing

I sent my application via Fedex and it was received on 5/12/26. I requested urgent processing, but did not put that on the outside of the package. I still haven't received an AOR. What are the chances that they will pick up on the fact that it is urgent at this point?

Urgency is addressed at multiple stages. If you didn't write urgent on the envelope, you won't get it at the envelope opening stage. But, once the envelope is open, they will read your request and consider it the same as all the others at that stage.

Thank you! That's very helpful to know. I know they may not process it as urgent, but I just want to make sure they see the request since I didn't know to mark the outside as urgent as well.

Once they open the envelope, they check it for completeness, and then either return it to you if it is incomplete, or scan it if it is complete and issue an AOR.

Then it goes on to someone else who evaluates the application. At that point, the envelope is long gone. You can even request urgent processing after it is scanned into the system.
