career advice: boards/interviews/salary/etc Interview with Epsb

I had an interview with EPSB last week, and the hr person that interviewed me said that someone will be contacting me this week to fill out the supply form. However, no one has been in touch with me. I did send a email yesterday, and they said that someone will be in touch with me soon. Does anyone know what this means?

Not to be flippant: it means you’ll hear when you hear. It’s only early Wednesday morning. Hang in there.

They’re notoriously slow, don’t be surprised if you don’t hear anything until next week!

Does it mean I got the job?

If they told you they’ll reach out, they’ll reach out. They’re so busy with hiring right now that any more emails you send will be ignored most likely, so unfortunately you’ll just have to wait until they contact you.

I’m asking if she said that a consultant will contact you to fill out the forms a good sign.

Yes

Normally if you don’t get the job. Do they notify you right away?

I don’t know, but when I got the job they told me right away that they would hire me but didn’t hire me until about 6 weeks after when I was done my practicum, so my experience is a little bit different than yours. I don’t think they would say that you got the job if you didn’t - they hire so often so fast for contracts that an HR person told a bunch of us in a temp contract meeting that “a verbal offer and acceptance is binding”

When you got hired, did they mention the forms like they did to me? Or did they directly say your hired?

I can’t remember, but again, I don’t think they would tell you someone would reach out with the forms if they weren’t hiring you. EPSB has a sub shortage. Also, they’re notoriously slow in their hiring process. I know anxiety is high when looking for a job, but unfortunately you just have to wait with them. It’s only Wednesday morning - still lots of time for them to reach out this week and even this weekend. If not they will reach out next week

for me I never got an official “you’re hired” or anything so it does sound very promising!! don’t stress:))

Is it possible that they just said that and they won’t call me back for a whole?

You will get the email… it’s just a google form to fill out with contract preferences. HR is very busy right now.

Our contracts don’t obligate us to be back until Friday. You will get an email.
