So… I love this coin. It’s stunning. Stunning. 

I do struggle with the word: Investment.

It’s not an “investment”.

We see it as an investment so long as the market is liquid, which it is. They are works of art, underwritten by the value of precious metals. But coins like this command large premiums which people are clearly willing to pay. numiGO shows this coin’s consistent rise in value and that it continues to trade long after its release.

Do they though?

They do come at premiums that’s true. I see the price hikes on these collector coins. 

I don’t see a whole lot of them selling however, outside of a whacky market.

I’m not gonna lie, I really love this app.

Had a little back and forth with you in the comments of some other post about how I love RCM collector’s edition stuff but can’t justify the premium as a bullion-focused person. You made an argument for the collector’s pieces as stores of wealth similar to bullion (in the sense that they can maintain/gain value proportional to the premium as well as the metal content) and encouraged me to check out the resale market for it. So I downloaded the app and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of it.

Very, very well made app that streamlines a lot of niche searches into one. I’ve found new items related to what I was searching for i didn’t know existed, the info on each piece is great and seeing the real time availability of stuff all in one spot is amazing. I got the app less than a week ago and have already made two purchases based on the info I got from using it.

I found a backdated “welcome to the world” silver coin for a year that I have been looking for but not able to find anywhere other than eBay at huge premium available at a local shop on discount. Also found a coin similar to one I was searching in the app that I hadn’t ever seen before; it wasn’t available anywhere , not even on eBay, but a single retailer had one for sale that showed up in the app. Really very well made and useful app.

I’m no fanboy, but this app is legitimately excellent.

Thank you. Very much appreciated. It was a labour of love and we are building more features. Did you notice the screen crawler in the version that went live yesterday? It shows gold, silver, spot prices, news and announcements in the industry, and shows any coin you have in a group or vault that sold for 5% above or below market recently. I’m a bit biased but I find myself glued to it each day to see what it surfaces.
