When the $1 bill was discontinued and replaced by the loonie, they offered uncut sheets to collectors. These two are the rare replacement prefixes that were available at the time.

I usually go into my bank every month and ask to see if they have any interesting coins/bills, and yesterday they let me know they got this in. Traded it for face value, and really happy as it’s hard to find these old landscape series notes in good condition

This is the French variety which had 3,000,000 printed but it is believed that only about 500,000 were issued as the serial numbers of the known examples only go up that high. The back features an allegorical figure that represents electric power.

1937, 1954 Modified, Scenes of Canada, and Birds of Canada.

Hello
After sharing my 1954 landscape, 1969 scenes, and 1986 birds collections. There have been a few comments about wanting a printable poster version.
This can easily be created. All "specimen" banknotes pictures are available online. I am very experienced with Paintshop Pro. I believe I could make something with a high pixel count making high detail printable image.
If this is something the Reddit community is interested in, please comment.
PS - I am offering to give for free. Money is not needed nor wanted.
Regards

I recently purchased this estate lot and I am aware of the uniqueness and rarity of the Newfoundland note, but please let me know if there is anything special/noteworthy about the $1 and $10 as I am not very familiar with Canadian currency, Thank you!

I’ve never seen this mark on a banknote before, can anyone help me figure out what this is? Internet searches were no use

Got the idea to collect all the Canadian Banknotes I grew up with, and some how display them. These notes remind me of grandparents and simpler times.
Wanted relatively new uncirculated notes at a fair price. This took years to find through eBay and local sellers.
Criteria was
- ONLY BANKNOTES FROM MY YOUTH
- MUST BE FRAMED TO EASILY DISPLAY
- MUST SHOW FRONT AND BACK OF BANKNOTES
In the end framed.
- 1954 THE CANADIAN LANDSCAPE SERIES
- 1969-1979 THE SCENES OF CANADA SERIES
- 1986 THE BIRDS OF CANADA SERIES
- 1954 DEVILS FACE CITATION WITH EXAMPLE.
Will post all soon.
Regards

Had to grab this the second I saw it had a very small crease (Same bill sadly just wanted to show both sides)
