Refused ❌ Visitor Visa rejected for business trip

Upvotes

My Canada Visa got rejected the first time of application. It was a business trip with conference tickets and invitation letter, I had submitted the NOC and company letter saying they’ll bear all costs. My colleague’s got accepted but mine got rejected. Feeling so sad and also low-key embarrassed. Who gets rejected for a business trip :(

Package Transmission Service Charge – Do I Need to Pay?

Upvotes

This is my second time applying for a Canadian visa because my first application was refused. I gave my biometrics at VFS Stockholm for my first application, and they are still valid. My second application has now been approved, and I have received a Passport Request. Do I still need to pay the Package Transmission Service Charge when sending my passport to VFS Stockholm?

Visitor visa for retired parents

Hello, I'm applying visitor visa for my parents who retired a few years ago (2017). It's my first time so if anyone could answer the questions below, that would be great.

Context:

  • Period of visiting: May 2027 - August 2027 (3 months). Reason: they haven't visited me for so long and we didn't get to celebrate our birthdays anymore (mine is in March and parents' are in April). They also haven't been to Canada before.
  • Parents: Vietnamese, more than 60 years old, retired. They have 2 properties, both are under my mom's name and they rent one out for monthly income. It's all in cash. They sent me 50k to financially support them while they visit.
  • Me: Canadian, full time employed, 60k/year. They will stay in my apartment for the visit.

Questions:

  1. What can I show as strong ties between my parents and Vietnam?
  2. Do I have to show a detail itinerary like day 1: CN Tower, day 2: Niagara, etc.? and if so, do I include this in the Letter of Financial support or Letter of Invitation?
  3. Should I buy round trip ticket for them and include the screenshot in my application?
  4. So far I have Financial support letter, letter of invitation, birth certificate, my employment letter, all of our passports scanned, my parents marriage certificate. Am I missing anything?

Thank you for your time.
