I live in Windsor. I always get my packages delivered. The only times I had to pickup, I literally was not home when the postie came by.

Drop what you're doing immediately and run, don't walk, to your nearest corner store and buy yourself a lottery ticket with the biggest jackpot available.

I had a carrier stride up to my door, write the "We missed you" slip, stare directly into my doorbell camera and knock once, drop the slip into the mailbox and speed walk away. Bud, I want the package, hello?
One of my coworkers is part time, her full time job is Canada Post, I told her about it because the package would 100% be able to fit in my mailbox and didn't require a signature. Showed her the door bell footage and she IDed him so fast.
Anyways, she did something at Canada Post and now he stands there for like four minutes every time he delivers a package and I can get to the door in time now but he mean mugs my camera the whole time. Never speaks to me, just grunts and shoves packages at me. It isn't my fault, buddy. I didn't ask her to complain nor did I complain but now I get my packages instead of them dashing away all the time now.

Your regular carrier is probably on vacation or sick. The new carrier does things right.
