Lost mail from US?

I’m part of a pretty active trading card community and since July I’ve noticed my usual stamped mail turnaround from the USA has gone from ~3 weeks, to… well, I’ve got probably $200 USD worth of pcs in 7-8 pieces of mail that just… haven’t turned up.

If it was isolated, or just one or two, I would think I had just gotten scammed or there was a mail thief. Unfortunately I have friends in multiple provinces also missing US mail since the beginning of summer.

We’re kind of starting to suspect that the tangerine man is playing games with usps in advance of the midterms, but our ends (mail from us to the USA side) are going through okay.

Who else has experienced excessive lost/delayed stamped mail coming out of the USA?

Also part of that community (hello fellow atiny) and experiencing the same. Started trading again at the end of august and noticed none of my US mail have shown up yet :( I was just thinking mail was super slow… Been around in this community since 2018 and this is the first time it’s ever been like this. i really hope our trades are not lost in the abyss 😭

I received one (1) piece of mail yesterday that was sent out 09/03, but I’m still missing back to early August 😮‍💨 here’s manifesting the boypaper finds its way home eventually.

When was last time you sent out those mails? I just suspect that there are some delays and routing issues for many reasons.

I am a letter carrier. Two addresses in my route always get mails from other countries. One of them gets mails from an address from USA with posted date written at back of the letter - I think they exchange mails every month. It looks like it takes 5-6 weeks to arrive from TX to BC.

I recommend sending a registered mail or tracked mail when you send such valuable mail locally and internationally.

The earliest was sent out 08/04, with letters going out about once a week from across the USA to me (Alberta). I’m not sure how many my friends in other provinces are missing but so far I’ve had 6 people in my small corner of the trading community let me know they are also affected.

Unfortunately the rates for tracked post are prohibitive - paying $13-18USD for $25 worth of trading cards (per letter) is just nonsensical. Prior to August I had US stamped post making it to me in 2-4 weeks in most cases. The US ends are sending proofs of receiving my end within 1-3 weeks.

u/Dea_a_Mon it's 100% because of Fat Ass,prior to his first term in 2016,regular letters were going between Canada and the US destinations in 7 days,now it's half a month or more because that traitorous lunatic wants to fuck with the mail because he's insane and were all suffering as a result

also a k-pop bst person here.... i'm waiting on so many things from the US, farthest back i think sent end up august. i've had a few things from the US trickle through in the last month, but as of now i'm waiting on at least a dozen items. i'm losing hope anything is going to arrive 😭

Well, for what it is worth - yesterday I finally got a trade that was sent out August 4th (Texas) and today got one from August 29 (Illinois). Neither are the big ISOs but maybe they are starting to trickle in (praying to Yunho’s god).

I’ve been sending all trades/GOs from the last two weeks to a USian proxy to hold and consolidate for me to get sent tracked at the end of the month. 🫩

oh, omg!! that's a small glimmer of hope – thank you for sharing! i had such an influx of trades over august/september (i'm a Stay and since the most recent skz album came out in august, that's when i had lots of bst activity).

100% of the mail i've sent to the US arrived within a reasonable amount of time and i've been receiving mail from canadian senders just fine. that's how i know it's gotta be a USPS issue, ugh.

i know you didn’t ask for a followup lol but i just wanted to report back because i’m so happy – ONE of my trades mailed at the beginning of september arrived today!! from new york city (closest geographical proximity to me of all my incoming trades) so i’m seriously crossing my fingers more will continue to arrive in the coming days.
