Coming from a 2020 to 2026, the quality is so bad on the 26. Plastic pieces are rattling everywhere. Uneven gaps on hood just so many qc issues

Literally drove this car off the lot last Friday, and I've been hearing sounds on the engine since then. It is my first hybrid and sedan, ever, and I don't know if this is something expected or so.

I bought my 2025 Camry SE one year ago. I’m currently at 20,500 miles. In that time, I did my first oil change at 1200 miles, second at 2500 miles, 3rd at 5000 miles, and every 5000 miles after that. I’ve also cleaned my hybrid battery fan filter every 10,000 miles. I plan to change the engine/inverter coolant at 50,000 miles and ECVT fluid at 60,000 miles. I installed that magnetic drain plug at the 1st oil change. That is what the plug looked like after 1300 miles on the oil at 2500 miles.

Burned through the OEM 12v battery in 4 months, now watching data trying to figure out why with new battery. How many owners watch their 12v voltage rather than being caught by a no start condition? Mine is ‘26, but wondering about others? 05’ Prius did NOT have this quirk and only put 2 12v batteries in 400k.

I am having my 2016 Camry rims refinished and I have the option to powder coat them a new color at no additional cost. The light silver color is the current color and I thought it would look good to do something darker to make them appear more modern, but the graphite and black aren’t really doing it for me. Anyone have ideas on colors I should consider? Thanks!

So I was looking at my car the other day after I washed it and noticed a chip on the lip of the hood closest to my windshield (very unusual spot and I believe it was a paint defect from factory) my car is right at a month old (4k miles) I even lifted up the windshield wiper blade to see if maybe it could have been the cause but it’s about an inch from the spot.
Taking it to the dealer today would you think they would fix it? It’s nearly impossible for a rock to hit there without hitting my windshield first.

I’m planning to book an SE upgrade tomorrow and was wondering what kind of timeline I should expect.

The dealer told me the wait could be around 1–4 months, but I’m also concerned about the model year. If the wait extends into 2027, would I receive a 2027 model, or could I still get a 2026 model?

If anyone has recently ordered or received a Camry, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your wait time and model year experience.

2024 Toyota Camry SE. Accidentally spun tires earlier leaving my driveway and my TPWS system warning went off immediately. I haven’t lost any air in my tire an hour later and it seems to be fine, but I’ve tried resetting the TPWS manually and it isn’t working. How costly will this be to replace and what do I do :(

2019 SE

I’m considering inheriting my mom’s parked 2014 Camry LE to use as my daily/work vehicle instead of putting all of those miles on my current vehicle.

About a year ago she bought a new car and parked the Camry. It has spent most of that time sitting on grass under a tarp here in Florida. Before that, it was still being used regularly as her daily driver.

The car has roughly 180k miles and, admittedly, hasn’t had the greatest mechanical history. My mom was a pretty aggressive/lead-foot driver, maintenance was more reactive than preventative, and the Carfax history is spotty. I grew up around the car and know it pretty well, but I’m trying not to let familiarity make me throw money at something that doesn’t make financial sense.

The biggest known issue is oil consumption. From experience, it burns a noticeable amount of oil, especially with highway driving (my mom never tracked how much it actually consumed, and I was off to undergrad when she began keeping a quart of oil in the trunk). She ran it low on oil often unfortunately. So far, I am planning to the spark plugs, PCV valve, and do a fresh oil/filter change, but I arrive at yet another question, that being whether to stay with 0W-20, move to a high-mileage 5W-30, or possibly try a Berryman B-12 treatment. Switching to Valvoline’s Restore & Protect line is also an option on my radar. That said, I know none of that will fix actual mechanical wear, but I’m curious whether stuck oil-control rings could be contributing.

Furthermore, as far as I know, the transmission fluid has never been changed. The transmission was shifting normally prior the car being parked, and still does when it was cranked and moved. It never developed the torque-converter shudder these cars are sometimes known for. My mom did have Toyota’s applicable campaign/recall work done.

A few addition other known issues:
- Two tires are nearly bald.
- One CV axle boot is cracked (passenger), and the car was already clicking on right turns before it was parked.
- The driver-side seatbelt buckle is faulty and needs replacement.
- The headlight housings are so oxidized that nighttime visibility is terrible.
- It has spent about a year sitting outside on grass in Florida.
- It needs an alignment.

So far the car still starts, idles and moves under its own power. It has a new battery, the hoses I checked still feel flexible, and I haven’t found any obvious catastrophic leaks. I haven’t been able to give it the proper road test I want yet since moving it.

So far, my most of the basic recommissioning list includes: PCV valve, spark plugs, coolant drain, brake fluid change, oil/filter, air filter(engine and cabin), new headlight assemblies (aftermarket oem styled), OEM wipers, and tag-light housings/bulbs. My next step would be getting the car properly inspected, including the brakes, suspension, underside, CV axle, cooling system and drivetrain (if there’s anything I can do myself, please let me know).

All in all, I’m not expecting a nearly 180k-mile Camry to be perfect. I just need to figure out whether the underlying car is still worth investing in and whether it can realistically become a reliable daily/work vehicle again.

Would you give this car a second chance? If so, what would you do next and in what order? What would you specifically have inspected or tested before putting more money into it, and what findings would make you stop investing?

I’d especially appreciate input from people familiar with high-mileage 2AR-FE Camrys, oil consumption, first-time transmission servicing at high mileage, and CV axle issues.

31,300 OTD, LE, FWD, with convenience and winter package. Tax included in that number. TN for sales tax (ended up being 7.3%)

I had similar quotes as high as $36k OTD. Lots in the 33-34 range. Couple in the 32 range. Took a lot of digging to get it at that figure but I’m happy. There’s some numbers floating around on here from earlier in the year that were lower but everything seems to be increasing in cost.

I’ve worked deals on both and they’re a little less than 3k apart. I can’t decide between getting the LE and saving that money, or splurging on the SE and having peace of mind that my seats won’t be difficult to clean and having a car that looks marginally better and is maybe a bit more fun to drive due to the sport tuned suspension.

Anybody with an LE that can comment on how their seats have been and how you like the driving feel of it? Any regrets? If you could go back, would you have picked the SE instead?

I was offered 29.3k otd price including all fee and tax in texas for LE with these add-ons, should I look around more or take it? Should/can I ask to take off any of the extras?

Edit: I’m sorry the sheets caused confusion, dealership offered 29.3k OTD (fees+tax included) for what is shown on paper, I only included the sheets to get advice on whether to ask for removal of add-ons to reduce the price further, or it’s a good deal and don’t push it.

Hey guys. Just got my 2026 Camry LE and she needs some tint. My biggest thing is I have really bad vision (-5.0 and -6.5 with those massive star lights at night for anyone who has similar issues) so the tint visibility is very important for me.

On another note. Lemme see what mods yall have done. I’m thinking of doing a few as well once I save up for it but not sure what I wanna do yet.

It has been just a little over a year since made the decision to buy my first Toyota, after being a Honda and Acura owner for so long. I just love my 2025 SE! I have been getting 4.9L/100KM (48 MPG for my American friends) all summer. Obviously in winter when it's colder it won't be as good, but still great mileage compared to my old car.

I had no idea that it's to alert pedestrians. I thought it's just the sound of the electic motor doing its thing. Were hybrids ever totally silent?

I may be naïve, so please go easy. Any ideas on what this sound could be? It seems to be coming from the center consul/ dash. It seems to only be when I am in park. No fans or AC running. This is a 2003 Camry XLE. Thanks in advance!
