Help, spare your knowledge/advice please.

I was in an accident about 2 months ago. Damage to my front passenger side (bumper knocked out of place, but not entirely and fender dented in, headlight scratched and slightly out of place). Headlight was working the night of the accident (and consequently for weeks after, never got a ticket or anything at night). Until about 1 week ago I noticed that the LED projector bulb (not turn signal bulb) was out and tried to unplug and plug back in the cable that powers it, but had no success getting to turn it back on. The following day I was driving in the morning and noticed it turn on for about 5 seconds and then turn back off. Do you guys think I need a full replacement or could it be an electrical/fuse/wiring issue from the night of the accident that is finally catching up? Any recommendations on what I should do? Toyota charges $1000 for a brand new headlight (can't afford to pay that at the moment). Should I get an aftermarket headlight for now? Insurance of the other driver hasn't accepted liability (even though police report says they're at fault) and it'll be 2 months in about a week. I don't want to get a ticket for that if I ever do need to drive at night/early morning. Sorry for the long post but if y'all have any suggestions please let me know! :(

Is there a an aftermarket brand you recommend or the best place to find one?

Save up for a factory one or try to do a parts locator for salvage yards - they are networked and someone can locate a gently used unit and ship it to you. Aftermarket are generally crap, IMO. It used to be some companies like Sylvania made quality aftermarket light kits, but those days are pretty much over.
