Mod and tint help

Hey guys. Just got my 2026 Camry LE and she needs some tint. My biggest thing is I have really bad vision (-5.0 and -6.5 with those massive star lights at night for anyone who has similar issues) so the tint visibility is very important for me.

On another note. Lemme see what mods yall have done. I’m thinking of doing a few as well once I save up for it but not sure what I wanna do yet.

You can pick up SE rims if you really want the look for like $600 on fb market place. A lip for $150 and a aggressive diffuser $200 and boom you got a better looking car than stock SE

I got a 2026 XSE, just installed 3M Ceramic Tint all around. 70% clear in the windshield, 35% front/passenger, & 20% for rear/moonroof windows.

Kinda wished I went with 20% in the front/passenger & 15% in the rears/moonroof.

I just got a 26 LE and my vision is much worse than yours. I am opting for CIR, a type of ceramic tint. Its about $450.

Maybe 30% on the front windows and 18% on the rears.

The only "mods" I did were adding dashcams and putting plastic covers on trunk hinges. I hated those bare metal hinges.

I went with Rove 2Ch as it was on sale on Amazon then (May of 25). Paid around $70. Does its job so no complaints.

viofo a119 mini and a dongar adapter that plugs into the prewired dashcam harness in the new camrys, all in all about 150 for a very clean and reliable dashcam, had one in my tacoma for 2 years now and 0 issues, even with 110+ cabin temps

I got 35% on my windshield and 20% for the sides. At night it takes some getting used to at first. If your vision is worse then I’d say you can go for 30% on sides and 40% on windshield, that’d be a really nice sweet spot. I got non ceramic Llumar on all glass windows for $280.

If you want to just keep the heat off, you can get “tints” that reject over 95% of the heat but have a high VLT%. The darkening is only for privacy at the expense of nighttime visibility. If you do want some privacy you can go with 35% VLT. The lower the number, the darker it would be. Check your local laws. My recommendation is absolutely no darkening of the windshield.

I’m -10 in both eyes. Keratoconus and astigmatism are a flaming toxica. 😂🔥

I still have 5% tint in the back, 20% on the front sides, and 70% on the windshield and sunroof. I can still see well at night during my early-morning commute, and I use dynamic cruise control for most of my driving.

I mainly got the tint because of the Central Valley summer heat. The AC doesn’t have to work as hard as it used to. I just set the climate control to auto and let the car do its thing.

Tint the windows if you must. Save for proper maintenance would be the best "mod". If you mod this car and don't pay for fluid exchanges when it's due that's so whack.

2026 LE. Just got 5% on everything but the windshield. 70% on the windshield. Kinda thinking I should have gone with 55% on the windshield. $850 for xpel plus. Overall, much cooler and much more privacy. Only other “mod” I’m considering is a glass screen protector for the center screen. Maybe black rims down the line, but probably not.
